Correction...with relief! The call was legit. Rush Med Ctr confirming appts.

Thought it was spam or telemarketer but no....This IS legit. It's Rush Med Ctr (hospital) in Chicago. Usually an appointment reminder.

Caller ID said CELLULAR CALL.  We thought it was a sales call, so we let the answering machine get it.

It turned out to be a robo call from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago confirming the time, date, and location of an upcoming appointment.  The call was not a scam, although it was odd that the caller ID did not indicate it was Rush.

Yes, this was a legit call. However, they only left part of a message: "--you can make this appointment, press 1. To cancel, reschedule or speak to a representative, press 0."

It seems quite IRRESPONSIBLE for a health care institution
such as RUSH to be using 312-248-6060 for making anonymous
calls like these. But we also had a similar experience.

Callers displaying only a number, and failing to display the name
of an institution, or an indvidual,  often turn out to be scams or prank
callers.

One site I looked up said that this is a robocall and not to answer it. Then several people here have said it’s a legit call from a hospital (Rush?) confirming an appointment. If that’s true, why are they calling me at 8pm to confirm an appointment at a hospital I’ve never been to or even heard of??  I have no appointment and never have had any appointments at this hospital, so I believe it to not be legit. To those people who have commented that it was a legit call confirming your appointment, did the caller ask you to confirm any personal information, such as your date of birth, Social Security number, etc.?  If yes, this may be a Scammer who is just claiming to be this particular hospital. Just want to warn that, even though they may sound legit, this may be a Scammer.
