Been called several times each day from different numbers for several days on end. Cost $15 for the sheriff office to receive and return call telling them "do not call". but they keep calling from several different numbers several times a day for days on end, just to say nothing. They even tried to put tracer on my number, local and long distance calling, but couldn't put it on local without local sheriff/court permission.

Keeps calling

Called my work number about two minutes ago looking for a manager who does not work in my department. Wouldn't say who they were; just said "It's personal". Told them I didn't have who they were looking for and they said they would take my number off the list. Just seems fishy. Get a few random calls from people looking to get info of our employees and it's against policy to give out such information.

Caller ID shows Portfoliorec. This company has called my home numerous times from many different phone numbers. They are trying to contact a person that had my phone number over twelve years ago. I have told them repeatedly that I am not the person they are trying to contact, and that I have had this number for twelve years. They don't seem to care that they are harassing the wrong person.  They just keep calling!

The problem with people today is that they don't know how to handle this type of problem.  Everything is "verbal".  Problems with companies, any company, should be handled by USPS, preferably certified, return receipt mail.  In this case, a certified, return receipt "not me" letter is in order.

And they don’t think caller Id doesn’t leave a trail?

A polite young woman said she was with Portfolio Recovery Associates. She asked me if I had a Bank of America card, I said I don't, then hung up and blocked it. This is the second time they have tried to pull the same scam on me. I'm not surprised they are being sued!

I have been receiving calls from "Portfolio Recovery" approximately 2-3 times a week for the last 3-4 months!  They never leave a message and have never called from the same phone number twice.. . which defeats my purpose in blocking each and every call I receive from them.

I have never answered their call and won't answer anybody's call who I do not recognize on my Caller ID.
Since I have an internet based phone number (VOIP) these calls cannot be blamed on Comcast as a previous report hinted at.

I suspect this is a SCAM and they have purchased a list of our phone numbers on the "Black Web" and are trying to trick us into divulging personal information so they can gain access to our private accounts.

Can't something be done to stop this type of harassment?

This number calls and leaves no messages.

Received call Saturday @10:10AM, received another call Sunday @12:00PM.
Need someone to represent me legally…
