Probably an automated calling system. Did not leave a message on my machine. I'm guessing it was not important.

I have been getting "toll free" 800 number calls since I moved and allowed myself to be listed in the phone book. Because, like the first post, they did not leave a message, I assume they are robo-callers.  I have gotten so many of them, I just don't answer my phone unless I know who the caller is.  If I don't recognize a number and don't answer, the legit callers will leave a message.  I have finally called and gotten myself on the "Do Not Call" register.  I hope that will bring the number of robo-calls down from 6 or 8 a day.

It was a recorded message wanting to install a security sign for free.  I'm sure the catch is the monitoring service.  Pressed 9 for the do the call but it is likely not going to work

I actually called the number back and was told to press "1" for the "Do Not Call List".  As you said.....we'll see.....
