Recived a call today too. Message left : something about outreach and government service and to call if you want to stop receiving information. Likely scam... definitely nuisance caller.

Called my cell phone - but left no message.  ing !  I called back and press 1 to be left off further calls -  we'll see as that usually generates more calls.  Just like a rash but more irritating !

If you applied to any jobs thru craigslist, this is how they're getting the number (I think). Definitely scammy.

Did not have the 312 area code, just 340-5580 (I'm in a different area code) but Googling brought me here.  Left no message.

I choose to have ONLY cell service.  My policy is simply DO NOT answer ANY calls NOT in my contact list. IF they leave a message I return the call if I have an interest in talking with the other party.  OTHER THAN THAT.... NADA.  It costs me nothing.  I switched to CELL and no hard line because I got tired of paying the phone company $80 per month for a phone I never heard ringing.  I recommend you do the same.

I never applied to any job thru Craigslist and still have gotten this call. You're wrong about how they're getting your number but probably right that they're "scammy".

claimed to be offering discounts off Comed electricity.

They asked personal details like if my bill has my middle initial; they read me my address, for verification, and asked me the account number (which I gave them with several digits of it made up.  

I said I had a call, they will call back in 1-2 hrs.   That lets me check on them.  So far, totally bo-gus, i.e. spam.

"We are consumer Choices" and we represent many power companies, and by government <mumbo jumbo> meaning it is legal to choose diff companies. ...

just baloney.

OH, I forgot to say:  I AM ON the national do-not call list.  Yet they called.  I have been on it for years, but -- I checked -- not so long I have to renew.

We got a call from this today, and when checking my call log it looks liek we have had these previously also.  2 previous times the number is proceeded by +11 (international).  Thanks to ATT putting my name in the listing since I sqwitched to Uverse, my spamming calls have increased big time.  Thanks alot--but I can block them.  . Today's call though has Member Services as the caller ID.

Different Day - same results - even though I pressed 1 to be taken off their call list

Received 2 calls so far. I don't answer numbers I don't recognize. No voicemail.

This number called me 6 times today, I didn't answer any of them.

312 is a Chicago area.  It called my cell - left no message.  Tried searching on web, couldn't find anything on it.  I'll just add it to my phones' reject list, hopefully it'll stop soon.

I just got a call, when call back ... "call can not be completed" - SCAM

Recorded message about my electric bill, something like..."If you are unabe to pay your electric bill, and are currently receiving (??) and (??)... "  I hung up figuring it had to be a scam.
