Thesed people are calling the wrong number.  I've tried calling them back to tell them and no one answers the phone. They've called my number to the point of harrasment.  How do I get them to stop?

They've got the wrong number, and I wish they would stop calling. It's getting annoying.

We are having the same problem with Harris and Harris. Apparently the guy who had our phone number before we got it didn't pay his bills. Unfortunately, we got his number when we moved to this new city. This collection agency is calling us at least 5 times a day. It's gotten to where I don't even answer the phone anymore because I'm tired of jumping up for these people! By the end of the day, our answering machine is filled with their messages for some guy who doesn't live here. I've told them over and over that they have a wrong number, but they do not stop. I finally contacted the FTC, because I feel this is harassment and violates the do not call list.

Unfortunately, I'm job hunting, and have sent out hundreds of resumes with our phone number, so I can't change it yet.

This number has been calling me for over 6 months even though I am on the "do not call" list.  I have been ill and they never quit calling even though I answer the phone.  They never are on the line.

I finally got through to the FTC.  They explained that we need to obtain the mailing address for Harris and Harris, along with a contact name.  The contact name they keep leaving is "Sheila Harris."  Once we are able to get a physical mailing address from Harris and Harris, we must then write a letter telling them to cease all calls for the person they're trying to reach because they have the wrong number.  Once we do this we are putting Harris and Harris on notice and they may only call us ONE MORE TIME to confirm that they have received the cease and desist letter.  If they call for any reason beyond calling to confirm receipt of the letter - we can sue them for harrassment.  So... Everyone be on the lookout for a physical mailing address!  Also, if you write a letter, be sure to send the letter CERTIFIED MAIL WITH A RETURN RECEIPT so you have proof you sent the letter.  Let's band together and stop the unwanted calls once and for all!

Correction:  The name they keep leaving is SHEILA CARSON - as the person to call back.

I call them and leave a message to stop calling so they keep calling. I ordered call block and that phone number is not eligible for blocking. They call late saturday night and early morning.

That caller has been bothering us for six months. Finally, got a number to call them back and tell them they have the wrong number. Their number is 312-423-7484.
Of course, it was automated, but at least I let them know they have the wrong number. Hope it works!

The same number calls my dad's home phone, and has just recently started calling my cell phone that is about a month old. they call and call but no not leave messages.

Same problem; annoying repeated calls. No such person at this number but, they just keep calling.

I am in the process of writing a certified letter with return receipt. But I suggest that you all hit the losers where it hurts; contact the office of the Illinois Attorney general. Here is the web address;

Also; Harris & Harris may be a proffessional Corporation owned by an attorney. (I will look into that).

If it is owned by an attorney you can look up the attorneys info on the Illinois State Office of Professions listings. From there register a complaint on that attorney. Once he/she sees the potential for a disciplinary action on their license they might reconsider being such an annoying maggot.

Do not live in illinois do not have any debt there or anywhere.STOP CALLING!

Hey guys I just got a call from them , they left a message on my voice mail saying they are debt collectors and looking for "kayzo yang (sp?)" , I have no idea who they are.
