phone number keeps calling, no one there and leaves no message

They called the house phone about 5 times now, always during business hours and leave a (recorded) message: "Hi, this is Carla blahblubb, this message is for blahblah, please call 312-604-7174". It'a a name I don't know and that sounds like a drunk person speaks it.
Caller ID says "Arnold Shar...", and calling the number is some law office with automated payment option in the menu.

they call us - we don't have a clue who they are.  we never answer cyz we don't know who they are.  but they leave messages.  first there's a voice saying hi, this is sheila pls call me.  i'm trying to reach...and then this "drunken" electronic voice comes on and, when it's understandable, it says something like rachel alvaredo.  well, there's no rachel anyone at our home!

They are a collection agency for either parking tickets or traffic tickets, which have not been paid.  The name of the law office is Arnold Scott Harris and they are based on downtown Chicago.

We get calls from this number, and others with a 414 area code number, that have the same recorded voice - identified as Sheila Carson - and either ask for a "Michael W. Smith", or other names that I can't understand.  They either say (the recorded message) that they are calling from Harris and Harris of Chicago, or Arnold S. Harris law firms.  The caller ID says either "Harris Harris" or Arnold Sharris.  They give different numbers to call back, including 312-604-7177 and 312-423-7484.  We have been getting calls every day for over two weeks.

One of my clients came to see me due to money he owes the city of Chicago.  I am now getting multiple calls from this number for that client because he gave my number as the number of his attorney.

They have been relentless and refuse to understand that the man they're looking for is not and has never been at this phone number.

I'm getting calls from the same 'Arnold Scott Harris', and from different numbers.  The last one was from 312-423-7468, and the voice message says "If you are . . . " but then blanks out.  Then leaves his name and number. I was called at work and told a judgement had been made against me, and that if I didn't pay $6,000 they would ruin my credit and garnish my wages.  (I co-signed a lease for one year, then after one year faxed my notice to remove my name from the next year's lease.  It went to the company that managed the apartment.  The apartment dweller lived in the apartment for two more months without paying rent.)  Rent was paid during the duration of my co-signing.  Guess I need a lawyer.

I have received numerous calls from a recording that identifies herself as Shiela Carson. I have called back and talked to some idiot who is looking for my son. I have explained that I have not seen him in years. I told the slimeball that they should stop contacting my residence, but that has not stopped them. So I call them back all the time to harass them. What a bunch of losers. They have fifteen million numbers and when you do call back they automatically send you to a recording that never answers

I'm constantly calling trying to make payment arrangements, and there is no one to answer the phone nor does anyone call back when you leave a message. That makes me feels that it's a total joke!

You call there law office and make a payment and the money doesn't get deducted and this has happened a total of three times. I am giving my personal information to whomever over the phone and It makes me think that there stealing my information and not reporting my payment.  YOu can never ever ever ever ever get through their phonelines.  they need to go out of business and the city of chicago is a joke because they no what there doing.

i can't believe you actually gave them your billing information, let alone three times.  if you can't figure out this was a scam the first go round, you deserve to be swindled.  i just tell them to 'go f&*^' themselves when they call.

They keep calling our home phone & there is no one on the line.

No doubt this is a scam. Somehow they get into traffic violation records, but they don't have ticket # or any other information except your name and the phone number. They are trying to scare people to pay immediately, especially the ones that seem to be of non-american background and ones that don't speak English very well. I wouldn't bother answering the phone when they call or calling them back, especially not with your bank information.
If this was a legit company, the phone number would be listed in yellow pages, business pages, etc.

they are a big scam

They keep calling on my cell phone, I never pick up calls from an unknown caller, they didn't leave a message either. I did a research and this is what I found.

i get the same ones all the time. at least once or twice a day

I also get calls almost daily and can't get through to any live person to tell them that they're calling the WRONG person.  SO frustrating!!!  To be interrupted in my daily activites for what amounts to a prank phone call is making me crazy.  Someone get these people to STOP or at least have a live person answer the number they give out to call back.  ugh
