Not message left

They called and left a message saying, "This is Harris and Harris Limited. We are a debt collector...."

They keep calling and I don't answer. They never leave voice mail.

When they call they leave voicemail. Not only that they are calling a college number and nowhere in the the message do they mention who the call is intended to be for.  They say they are debt collectors they are just a bunch of scammers.

it's Harris and Harris and they are actual debt collectors. They called me for a debt with Texas Children's but only because i had never received the statements from TX Children's.

They have been calling me SEVERAL times a week for almost a year now.  I have asked them numerous times to stop calling!

They will not stop calling me or my family

They call my cell and home phone number at the same time.  Told them I pay the hospital direct and have been for over a year, they told me those payments don't count you have to pay them.

These jerks keep calling me and don't leave a message -stay away, scam

Called me, I answered. They said nothing for 30 seconds , then they hung up. I called the number back and it said Harris & Harris. I blocked them.

This number belongs to Harris & Harris located in Chicago, Illinois. Unfortunately this is a legit collection agency. .

So you know who called you but looked the number up anyway? Why? I lean towards you being a shill.

Nothing legit about their tactics. Just because they have an office does not make them legit.

Apparently this company  see's fit to scam elderly and disabled to people who don't owe anything

Harris and Harris called me, but left no message. I did call them back, because I researched them, and found that they are debt collectors. I had an idea they were trying to collect from the former "owner" of my phone number, and they were. I was nice to them, and asked them to remove my # from their records. I also gave them the info that I had on the person in question, who keeps using his OLD number, which has been MY # for the last 4 + yrs. They stated that they would remove my # from their records, and added that the automated calls might take up to 48 hours to stop. ANY debt collector MUST stop calling you once you demand that they stop. If they continue to call, they are in violation of  FEDERAL law. Good luck with them actually removing your number from their records. Scammers such as this don't care if you don't want to be called.
