- fedup*phony credit report scam that calls every day using
different phone #’s, trying to get bank & personal info...- Caller: transunion
- Yomera| 2 repliesActually this might be an OK number, I requested my latest credit report from TransUnion and they wanted me to confirm my ID before they would let me log in, so they send me a code and I used it to log in and immediately took me to my account;
I think it's safe, considering that I was the first to initiate the request.- Caller: Transunion

- Michael| 1 replyI have this number on my call receipt record and checked that it said "Suspected Spam," but it was a call I was expecting from annualcreditreport.com that is listed as "trustworthy" and the phone number above was merely giving me an access code at my number to prove it's me. No request for information. When I typed in the code provided, all 3 of my reporting agencies appeared, as I clicked on them, with accurate information. If this was a scam, it was elaborate, and if phony why would their "code" open something otherwise secret if it was not sent by the company contracted by the credit reporting agencies. However, all this is giving me pause, because this same site indicated there could be pfishing emails wanting info; except I received no emails, I clicked on their website, which after I entered, among other things, my phone number (which a credit report company would know was accurate) called that number to send the code to verify it was me. It will be interesting to see what happens now.

- anonymous"Grasshopper call for ****. You wish to accept press one to send a voicemail press two. To hear the phone number press three. To accept press one to send a voicemail press two. To hear the phone number press three. To accept press one to send a voicemail press two. To hear the phone number press" seemed to be the hidden automated voice recorded message to be provided along with this number registered as "Chicago, Illinois"! I looked up this company's name and was able to call them back on their real working number such as toll free 1-800-820-8210 as it was able to allow me reality access to connect with their company to find out from their "Boston, Massachusetts" branch of "24/7/365 Grasshopper Virtual PBX of America" that this kind of unknown nonworking "Chicago, Illinois" call like this out of the blue was NOT REALLY coming from them, so it's actually OKAY TO DISREGARD this kind of NONWORKING CALL no matter how ANNOYING as well as OUT OF CONTROL it KEEPS GETTING?!

- D.T. replies to Yomera| 1 replyYes, TransUnion called me with a code while I was online requesting my free credit report. The call appeared on my call log as Chicago spam?, but when I did a search on the number 800 Notes came up. Twenty minutes later Experian sent their code using an 855 number, also labeled as spam? by my phone carrier.
- BigA replies to D.T.You requested or they told you that you were going to get a 2F verification code and then when you received it you got all worried? Maybe you weren't on the actual TransUnion website?
