called and said someone named Collins, from the Chiefs of Police State of Illnois and that was about as far as they got before I hung up.  Caller ID said Unavailable......really just another scam caller!!!

Called me as well.  Didn't answer

I've  gotten several  calls   from this number.  I  say, "Hello"  and then  hear two  or three clicks  before   the phone  goes  dead.

VOIP (voice over internet protocol) caller id. This usually means a scam call.  Must be a sad existence to hide behind fake numbers and try to scam people.

Answering machine picked up no message.Another scam

Chiefs of Police State of Illinois doesn't exist as an official organization for any law enforcement departments in the state.  This is an ongoing scam over the last two years.  If you answer the call and stay on the line, the various individuals will try to get a "contribution" from you with your credit card information.  Don't give out any information to them.  They will max your credit card out, and keep submitting more until you cancel the credit card.  It will lower your credit score dramatically.

He calls I let voicemail get it and it's the same voice every time..He says Hello.....Hello... then hangs up.  Identical space in between hellos and same tone.. tempted to answer just to see if he's there.

Six calls already from this number.  Scam for sure.  Caller ID says Chicago, IL, sometimes is the number, and other times is the letter "V" followed by a bunch of connected numbers.

V spells scam when it comes to caller id. If you see a V followed by numbers, V Caller or Triple V appear on your caller id block immediately. Sometimes spoofed caller id can be useful in identifying scammers!

Another call from a new number - (312) 690-7949.  The same scam callers that I reported on 29 Dec. 2016.  They also call from (312) 809-6067, (312) 300-4951 and (312) 690-7944.  All they want is your credit card information.  They will destroy your credit rating by maxing out your credit in two charges.
