Missed call, voicemail from some guy with deep voice claiming to have a special offer for me.  I suspected SCAM because I usually do not receive calls like this from my insurance provider.  I did not call them back. Searched the number and found the comments here. Blocked the number.

CID was blocked, showing only “Incoming Call.”  However, to my surprise, a woman identifying as calling from Quest Diagnostics,” claimed to be directed to call from our health insurance, BCBS, and wants to talk about our insurance coverage and how I can get the best benefits. She left her name and phone number and extension. Sounds highly suspicious.  Blocked the number and will call her back when pigs fly.

Why would someone from a lab be calling you about your insurance benefits and why would your insurance company not contact you directly?  You are right, there is something rotten here.

Got a call from "Quest Diagnostics" yesterday, stating that they were working with BCBS.  Wanted to send a nurse practitioner to our house for a wellness assessment.  Also said I would receive a $50 gift card for the visit.  I told them that I see a doctor at least every 3 or 4 weeks because of various health issues, and I didn't see a need for a visit from an unknown person.  They were a bit pushy.  Said that BSBS wanted this done and said they would have the nurse at my home at 8:15 the next morning.  Asked them if there was something about the word "no" that they didn't understand.  They got the hint and ended the call.  Felt a little scammy to me.
