Collection Call

yeah they called me too today. they were looking for me, but i told them they had the wrong number as i dont know who they are.

Yep.. it's a Collection Agency under the name of Asset Acceptance, calling with friendly voice...(Damn [***]!!!!)Told them they need to quite calling this number of will be reported to FCC and BBB for action. They mostly do collection for DELL COMPUTERS.

I got a call from this # and they left a voicemail. They said to call 1-800-925-7050 x7731 to discuss a personal matter. Yes they are debt collectors, but they are calling someone named Gina Rhodes. That is not me. She obviously owes someone money, this must have been her old # because ever since I got this new cell # over 2 years ago I get random calls from bill collectors. I tell them I am not her, but they keep trying. Gina, if you are out there, pay your damn bills, you deadbeat!

Collection agency. ALWAYS leaves a message on my cell phone. "By continuing to listen to this message you are acknowleging that you are (the person named). Then they say they are a collection agency and to call back. How are you supposed to know what it's about if you aren't the one they are looking for. Then to find out where to call back if it's a wrong call, you have to listen to someone else's personal information. Sounds illegal to me.

Got a call from them today...  Asked about a neighbor two doors away.  I don't really know the neighbor, and told them that, but I knew the neighbor had their vehicle repossessed about two weeks ago, and have had problems with their mortgage and taxes (listed in the paper) over the past two years.  

They did not discuss anything financial, and I told them I didn't know the neighbor, and probably couldn't help, when they backed down...  Now, if they wanted to send me $100, and a letter, I'd drop it off with the neighbor, but I'm not doing their dirty work for free...  These neighbors are financial deadbeats, and I'm not sure why they are still in their house...  I live within my means and save my money.  But I don't do collections for a living...

ASSet Acceptance is the lowest form of scum on the face of the earth.  I was the victim of identity theft 10 years ago back before credit card companies would do anything about it, and they're still hounding me about debts I didn't incur that were charged off 10 years ago.

I JUST changed my phone because of collectors.  The bizarre thing for me is that I have not USED credit in 10 years.  I recently got 2 credit cards which I pay off every month. THese 800 callers are lecherous and need to be reported to the FCC and Attorneys General Offices. I think we should BLAST their phones with stupid obnoxious prank calls .  That will give them something to do!!!!!  Keep their phone lines crazy.  The gal who answers is an idiot, so just talk to her in giberish and drive her MAD!!!!!!

You should thank your Maker that you have not had a serious illness in your family or had the company that you work for go under.  Not everyone who has collection problems is a deadbeat.  More than have of those who file for bankrupcy do so due to medical reasons according to the GAO.

This company / individual needs to do more research before they make these outbound calls. I received 2 phone calls from this number. Both times they just hung up and didn't leave a message. I wish they would stop wasting my free cell phone minutes.

I agree with you 100%!  I switched jobs and after I did, I found out the health insurance at the new job didn't pay Jack S*** but not until I had already been there for 3 months.  I am in so deep right now, I don't know what I am going to do and I am disabled on top of it all so I can't just go get any job due to the fact that I can't lift anything, can't stand and can barely walk.  Yet my doctor says I don't qualify for disabilty. *go figure*  So guess what's happening?  I have medical bills out the wazoo and now I'm getting backed up on credit card bills (used for medical expenses as well). I am just on the verge of going for bankruptcy. :'(

They've been calling my home for 8 months, and now they've found out where I work and they are leaving voicemail. This is totally unacceptable. I can't believe this company.

 These DAMN people keep calling me on purpose knowing that I am not Leon Edwards. This is OUTRIGHT HARASSMENT. Does anybody know where they are. We do have FREEDOM OF SPEECH. I tell the TRUTH and they hang up on me. Can anyone find out where they are. PLEASE HELP.

Call Federal Trade Commission; they are wonderful.  Find them on the internet, then call the given numbers.   GOOD LUCK!  I even had one caller read back the info they had, and even my birth date incorrect.  She said it was a case of fraud.  AACC claimed I bought an automobile-brand new.  Did not know autos could be purchased with a credit card, esp. for an average guy like me!!!!
