I get this phone call every year and I am on a do not call list.  They are a lobbiest organization, infact all police agencies looking for your contribution are lobbiest organizations.  You should not give to them because they won't represent themselves as a lobbiest and they may NOT have your best interest in mind.  They won't take your name off their lists as i have tried numerous times in the past.  If this isn't enough information, we have a good friend who is a State Trooper and he even told us not to give to those organizations.

DSAM - 313-286-8411...I did some additional research, they have a web site it is: http://dsam-mi.org/ and their official address is Deputy Sheriffs Association of Michigan, 120 N. Washington Square, Suite 110, Lansing MI  48933.  The phone is 517-702-2697.  Please call them and pester the hell out of them (rudely) like they do day in and day out every year, even though I tell them to take my name off their list.  I went to the contacts section of their website and ripped off a nice e-mail to the regional VP, and now I am going to go to the Michigan Attorney General's website and file a complaint.  The AG is great with any company you may have problems with.  www.michigan.gov/ag.

New Years Day call and left no message

I don't answer these calls.

ive been getting lots of calls from this DSAMI guy, but no messages. I dont want to answer the phone, but its driving me crazy. Has anyone answered the phone and had gotten a response?!

I receive sometimes several calls a day from this number, most times at minimum three or four calls a week for the last several weeks. They never leave a message if I let my machine answer it.  Once I answered but either no one was there or they hung up as soon as I answered.  I doubt if I kept answering I could even get in the words "STOP CALLING!" because there would be no one at the other end! It is getting very frustrating!!

Just spoke with the Michigan AG office - they indicated that not all telemarketing calls are prohibited by Michigan Law. This type of call is exempt from the Michigan do-not-call law since the call was made on behalf of a charitable or public safety organization.  Can't seem to do much about these kinds of calls!

Yes, you can do plenty about these nuisance calls. Simply let any charity you donate to know that if they pester you on the phone in the future, they will permanently lose your support.

Reputable charities do not telemarket.

keep getting phone calls and I dont answer they leave no messages, husband has answered and they hang up.  I am on the Do Not Call list so this is getting annoying!

Repeated calls day or night. won't stop calling even if I have told them to stop.
