Got a couple phone calls saying there was a pending case against me. Think this is a scam

Keeps calling saying I have a pending case in their office. Says her name is Lisa Newman. Problem one I am Pennsylvania, and I have never been to Missouri, so why would they have a pending case against me?

They are using different #s to call people... all Missouri area codes. I got two calls this week from 314-260-7150 and 314-260-7708. Recording was from Lisa Newman and claimed a pending case. It said they were with MRC Services. The only company out of St. Louis by this name is an air conditioning company. Don't be fooled by their scam.

Left a message.  Called back next day with the old this is a U.S. Marshall.  Suggested on their generic scammer answering machine that they use proper legal means such as a certified letter, etc. to contact whomever they mistakenly called looking for.  LoL!  Blocked!  The other Missouri number that called and didn't leave a message was the more obvious "this number is not setup to receive calls..."

I usually just block after looking up numbers, but sometimes call back as different generic personalities...

You clarify, good ole MRC  Lisa Newman left me the legal threat message before I made my call back... LoL

adding a number on. this time it's a Alice Davidson from MRC or E Mercy? However they say it. But same thing. Pending case and me or my attorney on record need to call and if we don't then it means I am waiving right to counsel and that I submit to a case.  They said if I call back and don't get her I can speak to another associate.
this time the call was from 314-390-7780

I received this same exact message. Word for word. Hilarious.

The exact same as everyone else. VERY PERSISTENT
