In any event,
Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a dime until the debt is validated
Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.
If they are bothering you, report them:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.) The same goes for endless telephone harassment
Also contact your local attorney general
If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them. Tell 'em no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.
You have to get tuff with these people because, being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking). the only thing they understand.- Caller: Informational post

- TrueSorrowIt is a collection agency called Receivable Solutions
I had a hospital bill way past due and I verified it with the hospital. They are flakey people tho. When I was in the hospital for a very bad car accident my brother had to take care of my kids and my finances. They called him and his gf answered and they cussed her out saying they know that she was me and all this nonsense.
It's not a scam call but I think people should check with where the bill originated before paying.- Caller: Receivable Solutions

- LindaJust received a call from a lady, unable to give me her name. She asked for my Mother, by first name, when I asked what it was regarding , was told a personal business matter. I told her that my Mother has passed away in September, she asked if I could provide a Death Certificate I asked again what this was regarding and was told again a personal business matter. I told her that I was Moms Power of Attorney and that all personal business went through me and she said I can’t verify who you are, I said and I can’t verify who you are and hung up

- DeeAsked for me and then wanted me to confirm address. Since it wasn't SSN or Bday, OK. Informed me of a bill I have (and I believe it might indeed be outstanding but confirmation is needed) for a doctor/hospital visit. Told her I would check into it and if it wasn't already paid, we would handle it. She then informs me I will continue to hear from them until it's paid (was that a threat?). She did seem a little nonplussed by my reaction (or lack thereof) and the call ended awkwardly. I don't pay anything over the phone, especially if I haven't initiated the call. Thank goodness for caller ID is all I've got to say.

- TonySuper shady, super suspicious debt collector agency by the name Receivable Solutions. Even if I had a medical debt, I would not trust these guys with any personal information. They called asking for someone, I said I wasn't that person then a few days later, they called me from a different number. My caller ID can warn me if a number is spam and their first number hit, but not this one. Do not give out any personal information to these guys and honestly, don't bother confirming/denying your identity until you can confirm they are legitimate.

- MollyConrad| 1 replyIt is a debt collection service, Receivable Solutions. They are were calling for a past due account from Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. I did call Mercy and verify that they were legitimate; and they are. It was not a scam. I set up payments plan to pay my past due medical bill. Investigate - don't assume that they are scammers.

- MSBReceived a call from this number claiming that they were a collection agency and that I owe for a doctor's appt from 5 years ago. I told her that I don't recall owing any money and she proceeded to give me all the info about my doctor (phone number, account number, appt date, location). However, when I called the number she gave me, I was told that I have a zero balance and that the account has been closed for over a year. Weird.

- KarenI did some research and discovered the following business information. I called them to complain about the constant calls, dead air, no messages, and when I got a live person they asked for random names each time. The person who answered asked if I knew "so-and-so", because they use your caller ID. He said he would remove my number. I sure hope.
