The caller scared me really badly; he had a really creepy voice/accent...He said either myself or an attorney must return the call, etc. but never said what it was about.  Plus, the call came to my work and not my home...I'm really feeling uncomfortable...

Don't worry about it. Nothing is going to happen. They are trying to get your money.I got the same call 3mins ago.I scared him into hanging up by saying i am a police officer.He said sorry,wrong number and hung up.He didnt have the wrong number because he had my name and state of residence

The guy called and left me a voice message, he had a really creepy voice/accent...He said either myself or an attorney must return the call, etc. but never said what it was about.  He called my personal cell & work number & I am feeling uncomfortable.

This number called sayin I have felony charges filed against me for a payday loan not paid and that he worked for New York dept of criminal justice and I live all the way in California .

Has he called you back ?? And when he did call did he sAy you had criminal charges against you ?

I received several calls from this number with the name of Kevin statins that he is from New York Criminal Justic. The call reference a criminal charges on me and that he wanted me to confirmed my ss#, I told him, I needed more information before I can confirm this back to him and what were the charges against me.   I had also mentioned that I know about they calls and that I did my research before calling them back.  He then hung up on me. I repeated called the number back several times and no one pick up the phone.

I got the same call from the same guy. It's from past payday loans. It's a scare tactic to try and get you to pay it. I was a bill collector for six years and he's breaking the fdcpa laws. So anyone who gets a call from him record it and take him to court and sue him

This is a total scam, if you have taken a online payday loan these idiots somehow get data on you.
Google payday loan scammers. It will come right up for you. Be smart do NOT call them back and fall for this garbage. The idiot with a heavy accent calls himself Jason Honors. Total SCAM!!!!

Message from Jason Honors with a heavy accent "The second you receive this message  I need you or your repeat attorney  of records to return the call the issue attend is extremely time sensitive my name is Jason honors call back number is  3153754325 I repeat  3153754325 don’t disregard this message return the call good-bye."

I had this crap happen two years ago, a guy with a name of Mike Anderson (again with heavy accent) saying the same garbage. I called local PD they said total scam.

If you have applied for an online payday loan with a legit company somehow the scammers get our data and pull this crap.

What happens is when you get a payday loan you actually screw yourself. First by laying back if u do pay it back a ridiculous amount of interest. Then what happens is those payday loan places sell off the remaking debt to debt brokers who then sell them to collection agency's. So all your information gets passed along. Then you have scum like this Kevin guy tell you that you have federal charges pending against you. It's a violation of the FDCPA. Record these calls and call an attorney that specializes in debt collector law suits. You can sue him for up to $1000. This is a complete scam and do not be afraid of "Kevin" or whatever name he uses.

I too received 5 calls from the same number but it was really scam. Don't take it serious but just hand up the phone immediately.

This is a scam the caller has an Indian accent and tried to threaten you. Please call FCC or report them online they will not stop

Some guy withy a heavy accent called saying i wasto pay 5000 or get a record.

I got this same call, and just thought to Google  this number. I had also received a similar email some time ago.   Wasn't sure what to make of it. I called back but received no answer.  The strange thing is that we have all received this call very recently. I just got it on June 3rd. Don't have a criminal record and have no intentions of ever having one. Thank you all for posting! I may call PD myself in a.m. to report this.

Total scam.  Criminal charges  are handled by law enforcement; debt collectors have nothing to do iwth it.  Sounds like a scam to me.  Being in ordinary civil debt is not a crime and you can't be arrested for it.

Indian debt or law scammers.  Ignore them and block their calls.

today june 5th 2015 I recive a voice mail harrasment call saying that this message was for my husband and that he was goint to get a message into my Email soon  and that he was warrent that he had received a 3 complaints that he owes money to Advance  America Cash .that he owes a loan for $698 so I ask this man the original creditors name and the date this loan was made he gave all of this inf,His name is Bratt Smith .that the Criminal Address is at New york ( Sycause,Ultica)he also said that this monday morning he was going to send papers to my husband so there will be a arrest warrant  from the officers on him.  Now I want to share with all of you that are having problems like this please dont be scare is only a harrassment /and a threat now i will tell you why it has happen to me too on February 19,20,21 /2015. some one by the name Sandra Hernandez used all my personal Information & my SSn she send all this Inf,into my roomats email her email is sandraHernandez@Manager-Collections.com so be aware of this company too there is in Rippoff.com there is a big report about this woman and the company she works for they are also ass. with Legal Group of Attorneys ACA is located at Bostom Massachuttes,LGOA is at new york.So now I will tell you what I did .I put a report with.1) Police dept,social security adm,3 credit B,check with my bank to check any inf they might have,Federal trade commission too. them I call one of the Harrassments attorney to get inf of what I can do.if it is more than $800 they say you own sue them . dont worry  all this kind of companies are SCAM check always with Rippoff.com.
