I got a call on march 26  2015 saying i was being granted 9000.00 from the government and I would not have to repay it back they gave me a code and a number to call them back the number was 315-675-7799 I spoke to mark and he told me his intention was 0552 he told me I could get this put into my bank acc  or have it sent to me by western union I told him I would not give any info out to him so what did I need to do at western union he then told me to go and get the green form and I would have to put  up a 200.00 dollar deposit I and I would receive the money within minutes and they r out of new New York and that the money was good I told him I was reporting him to our police dept and that he was a scammer its funny when u tell them that the phone call drops right fast   catch them and put them out of business

Abril 26 2015  Esto es un aviso para gente de habla hispana no se dejen engañar por llamadas donde les dicen que ganaron una cantidad que el gobierno de USA te esta dando ellos te dicen que te van a dar 9000 Dls. Que tienes que ir a cualquier lugar western union para mandar 200 dls y luego ellos te mandan 9000 dls,  esto es puro fraude, mi pregunta es porque las autoridades no hacen nada al respecto si se puede identificar el numero de telefono , y acabar con este tipo de fraudes  el numero que te dan y una disque clave  para que te puedan dar la dicha cantida   asi que mucho cuidado nos tenemos que protejer por si mismos ya que ninguna autoridad hace nada  a mi me lo quisieron hacer pero gracias a este tipo de aviso no pudieron

I was called yesterday and was told I had been awarded a 9000 grant. I had to call this number back with a code. They asked me what I would do with the money and how I wanted it sent, I said by check as they already told me my address. After everything I have read, I probably won't hear form them again.

I received a call today from an unknown number and at first i ignored it. When it kept calling back i finally decided to answer to tell them to stop but I went along with her questioning because I did not want yell at someone if it was a legit phone call.
It started off by her telling me that I had a grant worth $10000 that I would not have to pay back, then she asked me if I had a criminal background then she said something about me paying all my bills on time. Then she asked me how I would use the money and I told her I would buy a new car. Then the scary part is she already knew my name phone number and address, I simply said ok when she asked me about them.
Then she told me I needed to call 3156757799 with the confirmation code she gave me to receive my $9000 grant. So at this point I knew she was a phony but I never gave her my bank account or my credit card number. If they ever call me again I am reporting it to the police.

I also want to note that I do not have any bills in my name yet because I still live with my parents so the would not really have any way of knowing I pay my bills on time.

I received my call Friday about 6 pm.  They claimed they couldn't deposit the money, cause it was to late and they would do it Monday.  I'm trying to start a new business and I have been online searching for grants.  Last year, a guy called me saying he was with Windows.  After awhile, he continued to insist on repairing my computer and there was an offer to do some repairs for free.  I told him that I had a company to repair my computer but he insisted and begun to make repairs against my will.  A few months later, my computer shut down with over 300 viruses.  I also discovered he had not disconnected from my computer. This sounded like the same 3 people.  They had a lot of my information already, which was a little alarming, but I have been trying to get funding for my business. Their timing was perfect!

I just received a phone call from this # telling me i was selected for a $9000.00 Grant from the government? I laughed at him telling him my government ain't giving me squat! he said it's not true i was randomly selected because I pay my bills on time and have not filed for bankruptcy ever! I also told him because i do my duty as a tax paying American my government is going to give me 9k LMAO! John Gilbert the middle eastern man who said if i don't believe him call this # 315-675-7799. I then called I said "this is a SCAM" the male who answered this # said F&^% YOU! then hung up on me. then John Gilbert asked for that mans name (as if he was going to discipline him) I told John Gilbert i was willing to drive to NYC as i am only 2 hours away he didn't like that, and told me if i don't believe him hang up i told him NO WAY do I believe him and he hung up on me. **** A note to the people trying to SCAM US. if you are going to claim that our government is going to give us free money, KNOW THAT IN AMERICA NOTHING IS FREE!!!! NOT EVEN FREEDOM the great men and women who serve this country pay for you and me!!!!!

Similar to the other responses. I asked for a mailing address and "John Gilbert" said " 200 Washington. err address where we are located right?"  "Okay 200 Independence Ave Washington DC 20201"  Of course he gave me the same phone number that everyone else has reported as well. Keep in mind that 200 Independence SE is the Library of Congress and that 200 Independence SW is the Dept of Health and Human Services. He did not give a SW or SE part to the address and in either case you are going to need more info (department, mail stop #, or something) beyond just the street address.

Scam from the word go. Unfortunately no other info available to track them down.

I have received this phone call today again!!! This unknown number has been calling me nonstop and I answer they would hang up! Then I answered and finally someone spoke to me telling me I've been selected to receive 9,000!!! I was wtf are u talking about!! So being s single mother in need of $$$ I went through with it!!! They wanted me to western union them $150!!! He guided me through this process and told me to ship money to India!!!! What??!! Sssssketchy! He said he would call me bAck because there was 3 ppl pending before me!! I wAs freaking out and he was convincing me its ok!! Piece of [***] [***]!! So I'm waiting on the call and took it upon myself to call it back. Called it back and of course it's a track phone voicemail telling me can't answer at this time!!! Really dude!!!! Wow!!! I called western union and canceled this transfer right away!! I'm pissed!! I need everyone to work to catch these [***]!!! Knew my address too!! Not safe!! Hack scam [***] city!! Im not done!! I will take action!!! Let's do this!!

Lol just happened to me dumbasses

Today june 19th i just recieved a call from an unknown number as everyone has said befpre the were saying the government would give me an independent grant for 9,000 $ being i have no job and im a single mother of a 5 month old i gladly went along with the process . i talked to a man said his name was lucas at the # 315-675-7799 he went through a series of questions then let me know that i was approved he said that i could even call the bank and ask for myself .. Now this is where a red flag was thrown he said that the federal bank in new york city number was 3156747745 the fact that the federal banks number was so close to his personal number was very weird to me but i still continued cause im desperate . . i called and a lady picked up ... I had a couple friends call this number and the same lady picks up every single time .. From my knowledge thats not how a bank works lol . when he said he needed 150$ for ppv insurance i was done i knew for a fact this was a scam . ! Please help me anyone who has had these people call report them to tje police if i would have scraped up 150 and sent it to them i would have been in worse shape then im already am they are doing this to women and men who have real lives and real problems

I have received this phone call today again. The unknown number has been calling me every day.
I answer they would hang up! Then I answered and finally someone spoke to me telling me I've been selected to receive a
grant from the government for the sum of 9k. I had to call this number back with a code. I never applied for a grant but this person had knowledge of my personal information.

I like everyone else got the call.  He said about the $9000 grant that I did not have to pay back.  He knew personal information like age and address.  He gave me a # to call and a money verification # to give them.  I got on line with the number and found others that got the same call and just added my name to the list of people they are trying to scam.  How do you stop someone that can't be stopped, they will continue to call and short of changing my phone number, which they will find there is no stopping them.  Good luck

I got 2 calls from this number telling me it was the irs one time the second was th us government telling me they were filling fraud charges
