Scam

Called and left a message saying my husband had legal actions being taken against him and to call a 1-800 number to clear it up before the end of the day. Called the courthouse and no records of any lawsuits had been filed. Called police and they looked up both numbers. The number they called from is a routed number, if you call it back it will not get answered. The 800 number is registered overseas, if you call them they want a credit card to pay a bill but won't tell you who they are or what bill you are paying.
They called all family members with a public number within an hour of calling us.

Left a message saying "Ronald" had a lawsuit against him and needed to call an 800- number. Very hard to understand. Definitely a scam.

Called saying my mother had fraud allegations against her in the county we currently live in although they didn't stop to think that maybe someone they are calling has access to court records as well as know that no one will ever contact you via phone call, it will always be via letter or being served by a legal processor .... The lady gave me a case number and said I need to call this 1(866) 211-6901 to find out more information and when asked who was alleging my mother of fraud she couldn't answer me. The way she got mw to stay on the phone was she asked for me by name saying she was calling due to mw being an emergency contact for my mother which made me worry something had happened to my mother since she isn't in the greatest of health anyways but it is just to [***] you to admit who you are and to get you feeling like they have vital important information about you so it must be legit but this is not legit and it IS A SCAM!!

Some stern sounding woman left a voice mail "because my ph was listed as an Emergency Contact Number" regarding the welfare of some girl. about a Court Case pending in Clark County Kansas with instructions to call another 800 number.  The message was convincing sounding and ended with "Good Luck" However as they left a message for someone I've never heard of about the welfare of another person I've never heard of. I figured someone would be in jail by the time I told them they were barking up the wrong tree.   As someone who has worked as a Telemarketer, I love to play along with the SCAMS I hope they call back!
