This person claimed numerous times to transferred a large amount of money into my paypal account for an item plus shipping costs for a shipping company and continued to harass me about me attempting to scam them.  

got a text from this number wanting to buy a vehicle i had listed on craigslist. They wanted to buy the vehicle as a gift and wanted to use paypal..  THIS IS A SCAM for sure..

DO NOT GIVE THIS DIRTBAG any info.

Someone from this number just sent a text inquiring about an item we have on Craigslist.  I'm so glad I googled this phone number and found these comments on your website.  Thank you.

Yeah, I am selling an entertainment center on Craigslist in Austin and he just texted me.  I said "hey, gonna be kind of hard to pick up something in Texas when you live in Kansas."  He said his name is David Dawson.  Yeah, right.

Wish I would have read this first.  I just got a text from "David Dawson" because I am selling  a high ticket item on Craigslist - Austin.  I paused and thought hmm.  Too late, I answered.  will post back if I get anything.

He wrote back saying ready to purchase and asking for final price and condition.  I asked for the email to send a binding contract (knowing he's a scam). Just keeps insisting on paying via paypal.  I quit responding.

This guy also texted me saying he wanted to buy some land from me using paypal.  he also asked condition and final pricing.  I'm glad I saw this info before continuing with this nonsense!

same here craigslist scam. do not reply.  some [***] trying to steal from you

same here, i posted on craigslist to sell a piece of furniture and he texted me in the middle of the night. now that i've read these comments, i'm reporting him to craigslist and not responding to him. thanks for the heads up. btw, he's using the name "johnson dawson."
