I received a second call today and when I asked where he was calling from the gentleman once again just hung up on me immediately without even saying goodbye.

Just called the number back and spoke to a live person and asked them what company it is.  Something like "MCC" - it appears to be a collection agency.  They were calling for someone who they have an incorrect number for.

This number has called all my business numbers several times over the last few months...they call you then a message says to hold...you hear ringing as if fowarding..then someone picks up identifying themselves as
Common Law Financial, when asking them to repeat the name they hang up.
Not sure what this is. A reverse lookup of their phone number shows it to be in Acton , Indiana, but with todays phone number portability (voice over ip) and the fact that it fowards the call..it could be anywhere.

This number keeps calling, does not leave a message.  When you answer, they hang up.  Had another number 812-645-4352, calling every day and not leaving messages.  I told them when I answered, they were still on the line saying nothing, to either speak up, leave a message, did they even know who they were calling, if not, not to call this house again.  They quit calling and then this number surfaced right after.  The other number no longer calls, now this one.  I will do the same to them.  This is frustrating.  They need to stop.  They shouldn't be able to use cell phones to bother people.  Something should be done to stop them from calling and hanging up.  I have traced them and they are no one, I can't even get a name or comment out of them and they are hours away. We get a lot of calls for individuals that use to have this number, they need to get their facts and quit calling!!!!

This number has called several times and never left a message. They call at least 3 x a day for the last 24 hrs and when I've answered the phone, no one is there. I believe that it's time to contact the Attorney General's office here in Indiana and file a ligitimate complaint. My name does appear on the do not call list and when you do call my number and get the voicemail, it states if you a a telemarketer or collection do not leave a message and remove my number from your list. By law, I believe they have to do this.

I typed this number in google and this came up, probably some hooligan kids >.>

Caller ID says Acton, IN. Didn't leave a message on my answering machine. The message on my answering machine says to remove my number from their calling list and cease calling. this is the second call in 12 days.

Caller ID says only "unknown name." Robomessage said only to press 1 to hear the message in English or 2 for Spanish. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a collection agency calling for people who had my phone number a year or two ago. I have been receiving calls recently from numbers in the 812 area code (southern Indiana) and told them they have the wrong number. They said they would remove me from the list, but that sometimes means they will resume calling from a different phone number.

The 317 area code is misleading, as are the suspected alternate numbers from the 812 area code. Same robocall this morning, but this time I pressed 1 to hear the message in English. Then was put on hold briefly until a live person came on and asked if I got a call (yes) and if I was Brian R---- (no). I asked him what his company's name is and where they are based, and got the street address via google:

I told them I'd never heard of the guy they were asking for, but that another guy had my phone number 2 years ago and I often get calls from debt collectors for him. I also told him I had asked before for them to remove my number from their list. He said there were multiple accounts associated with my phone number, and the earlier people likely only removed only one account. He said he had now made a notation to remove all accounts, so I shouldn't get any more calls from this company.

See comments from June 29 and July 1, 2011. The customer service rep's notation to remove all accounts associated with my phone number lasted 17 days. I got the same robocall yesterday morning at 10 a.m. and again this morning at 10 a.m. Someone gives them a bogus phone number and they feel no obligation to verify the owner of a phone number even after they are told they are calling the wrong number.

Time for an FTC complaint. Three times I have explained to the rep that they are calling the wrong number and that the person they want had this number 2 years ago. Three times they took down the information and said that they would mark this in their system. Three times they have promised there would be no more calls. But the calls keep coming.
