Why are calls forwarded to. Vpicdmail

thos phone nimber shows up as where my phone calls are forwarded to in my android. a phone app that is part of my phone. so, allll my calls are fwded here? why? I show an address in fort lauderdale associated with this phone number. the address is 521 sw 5th st ft lauderdle fl. 33315. i am totally confused .

To start, this area code is for Indiana not Florida.  A google search for this number does return a link to a page on whitepages.com which erroneously reports the area code as being in Florida.  Other returns on Google correctly indicate Indiana.  Not sure where you got that address, but a check with Google Maps shows there is no 521 address on that particular street and drop the pin where the address should be on top of a circular driveway for address 525.

All of your calls are not being forwarded to that number, only the ones you do not answer because you either did not bother to answer or you were already in a call to someone.  Those calls get forwarded to your voicemail using this number.  There is nothing nefarious going on and no need to worry about it.  This number is installed on your phone when the SIM card is installed and your phone links to the carrier the first time.  Without this number your missed calls cannot be sent to voicemail.

I think 'rhonda' is mixed up and possibly on something at the time she posted. That White Pages listing does show the correct "Area Code & Provider Details" under the "Phone owner’s address".

Based on that, I doubt this is a Carrier's voicemail forwarding number and most likely 'rhonda' got the number wrong that she saw in her call logs. She put "Caller: sailboat bend living llc" which is probably where that person moved to from Indiana.

Once upon a time, whitepages.com was a decent reverse lookup site, but they have degenerated to being just another one of those "Pay us for (possibly accurate) information about this number" sites.
One has to question the accuracy of anything they would return if you paid them when they cannot even present basic information on their free landing page correctly.

If you expand the line below the information you refer to that starts with "Who is calling or texting ..." and has a "More" link at the end you will find that they state:

In reality, the 317 area code serves central Indiana.

In the FAQ section at the bottom of the page:

There is no Fort Lauderdale in Indiana (or any other state other then Florida).

I do not disagree with you that "rhonda" was probably on something when they posted, which is evident by the writing "style" they posted with.  Taking that into consideration, it is possible that this number was not even the one that "rhonda" actually saw.  (And this is assuming that "rhonda" is not a Troll to begin with.)

Yeah, I don't ever rely solely on any of those 'pay for info' type sites and I agree that WP has declined in reliability over the years and has faulty algorithms. Further down in that FAQ it even tells how they determined the false area code location:

Pretty sad how a website can show conflicting information on the same page.
