- Lc| 1 replyRang me on a holiday, answered and nobody spoke. When I hung up I received a text from Version Wireless not two seconds later saying my payment was due.
- shellie replies to LcI just got a call from this number but I didn't answer it. I got a text message right afterwards saying my payment was past due. My payment is due today and is not past due. I also got a text on 9-21-15 saying my payment is due. Damn scammers!
- Ellecan't believe that scammers are still using this # a year later, but I just received a call today from this # and a text from verizon followed. I am VERY disappointed with Verizon and think I should NEVER have switched from former carrier (they all suck nowadays and don't give a S&%T about customer service). For pete's sake, STOP selling my number to telemarketers! I wish the 'do not call' list was still effective but that was only a temporary relief from an ever prevailing problem.

- SickAndTiredOfBullshitPhoneCalls| 10 repliesThis is the number that shows up when Verizon is attempting to reach you about your billing account and payment is due. The fact that so many others have also reported receiving text messages immediately following not answering a call from this number telling them that payment is due on their accounts, or even past due, should be a clue right there. This is not a call from some "damn scammers," it's a call from someone to whom you legitimately owe money. Or at least the last owner of that number does.
They are not required to keep you informed on a day-to-day basis when your bill is due, that's your job to keep up with who you owe, how much, and when. The bill you get has a due date and amount on it, and that's all they're required to do. They could just shut off your line at the past due point, and continue to leave it up to you to reestablish service by paying the whole balance due plus reconnect charges. But, they have taken it upon themselves to chase you down and give you multiple opportunities to get it paid before they reach that point.
No, I don't work for them at all, in fact I don't work for anybody anymore. After 40+ years of steady employment, I am totally disabled, but still take care of my own bills. But, I am human like everyone else, and occasionally I miss a bill. However, if they call me and remind me of it, I don't get all bent out of shape and fuss about being called by "scammers" when they clearly are not. IF they have made a legitimate error, give them the same benefit of the doubt you apparently expect of them and call and talk to someone about what the problem is and fix it.
Now, the ones I DO get upset about are the ones who really are scammers, criminals and outright crooks, and I am ALL OVER the boards like these about them, to let folks know what they REALLY are up to. They are like roaches - turn on the lights to them and they scatter back under the woodwork from whence they came!!- Caller: Verizon

- c ward replies to c warriorJust Verizon letting me know that my cellular bill is a few days past due. Thanks, Verizon.
- Lisa replies to SickAndTiredOfBullshitPhoneCallsActually it may be a scam. I got a call from this number today and since I didn't know it I didn't answer. No message was left and no text was sent to me and every time Verizon calls about my bill there is always a text sent right after. Also I had just received a call about a half hr before this one then a text, from Verizon, about my bill. When I called this number back it rang 6 times before finally saying you have reached Verizon wireless financial services. It seemed a little off because when you actually call a Verizon number it doesn't ring that many times, if it rings at all, before the automated message starts so I hung up this number and called the actual phone number for Verizon and the number specifically for financial services and both agents in both departments told me 317-567-2312 is not an approved Verizon number and they have had numerous complaints and said not to give the people from that number any bank account in or credit card info and they blocked the number in their system so it can't contact any numbers on my account. I thought it was weird and I'm glad I called and found out the truth from the horses mouth.
- Mike replies to SickAndTiredOfBullshitPhoneCallsI called the number back and an automated voice asked for my account pin number. That is not the way Verizon works. So pack it in your a--.
- Damon JoneaThis number calls my grandpa's truck through OnStar somehow.
Dunno how or why and didn't know gramps' truck could be called till it rang lol - Red replies to SickAndTiredOfBullshitPhoneCallsThank you for spelling it out to them :)
- thenumberschangedaily replies to SickAndTiredOfBullshitPhoneCallsVerizon rotates through several different numbers on a local level hoping you will pick up. My bill is late and I have gotten these before always a different number.
- AmandaMy dad was getting calls from this number looking for me demanding payment. It was a foreign man hardly spoke English and was actually yelling at my dad. I called Verizon to ask what the heck was going on and they said no one called me from Verizon. It's a scam. The man wanted my cars number for a payment however I have auto pay. So I knew something was up. Dont give this number your info or say bye to your bank account!

- Marlene S.They call me several times a day and I have never ever in my life had any connection to Verizon. They say they are from Verizon Financial Services looking for a Joseph Jones jr. Give you a reference number and ask you to call +1-800-754-0961. I never answer the phone but they leave a voicemail message occasionally. They're using up my TracFone minutes and I reported them two the FTC because I'm on the Do Not Call list.
- Heather replies to SickAndTiredOfBullshitPhoneCallsIf they are not pulling a scam - trying to get you to answer an unknown number, why not let the caller ID show who they are?
- MIKETired of the stupid calls
