Jules - There are many of us who have to use the telephone for work and part of our job is to call people who do not know us.  I personally always leave a detailed message saying why I am calling and asking that the person call me back.  Often, they call me back from a blocked number or sometimes from a number different from the one that I called.  If I refused to answer the phone every time I did not recognize a caller's number, I would not get half of my work done.  "We" are not desperate to talk to hear a human voice.  If you prefer, we could just show up on your doorstep unannounced.  I can assure you, if I had your phone number, I probably also have your address.

I personally prefer to give a person the option to schedule an appointment with me at a time and location that is convenient for them.  If they do not want to help out with the investigation, it saves the government money if people tell me that over the phone and I can bill my time for appointments with willing participants.  I don't know who called me from 318-266-7537.  I don't know why they called or how they got my number.  I do know that it is ignorant to assume that everyone who uses the phone is trying to sell something or collect money, and even more ignorant to call people desperate to hear a human voice just because they answer their phone when they don't recognize the number.

This number keeps calling me, I don't answer it because I don't know the number, its getting to be very disturbing....318-266-7537

I just received a call at 1:00 too and I keep getting these calls from this number, I answer their call and hang up the phone and the same time, this way maybe they think they are getting a full answering machine and will give up.  The number that called me was 318-266-7537 @ 1:03 pm est

Just received a call from 318-266-7537 today, 11/13/12.  I did not answer and immediately put the number on my blocked phone number list. I have twelve numbers on the list. Since twelve is the maximum number that can be blocked by my phone service at any one time - when I get a new number (like this one) I rotate with an old number on the list that seems less risky and add the new number as a replacement. So I have a running list of twelve numbers that are always blocked. This is working very well to keep my phone quite.  I blocked 3 numbers in October and this is the first number to be blocked in November. At least 9 of the numbers that I have blocked are related to Canadian Pharmacy scams - based on this information blog.  So far, I have not had any number that was "unblocked" repeat calling again... :)  I have unblocked 4 numbers on my list so far...

You can go to the do not call registery and click on report a call or something like that, just go to their website, google it.  I am going to report this to them as well, maybe alot of people do this they will stop them from making these calls.

I just filed one with them.... everyone who is being harrassed by these people need to file a complaint and maybe they can investigate who is doing this...  seems they have a lot of time on their hands to make all of these calls...?

Call just received at 6:00pm.. I traced the call and called them back. They answered "Canadian Online Pharmacy" but hung up on me. I called back the 2nd time and the man answer and told me I had the wrong number after I asked if I had dialed the number correctly. The third time I called back ,and with a little prompting, they told me their company was "Indian Online Pharmacy". I have reported it on the "National Do Not Call Registry". Enough complaints going out will hopefully put an end to these folks.

Sometimes they will call you at "work", it is not that we are desperate to hear a voice, but I don't think you can memorize all the customers who call you, can you??.

Have been receiving several calls from these fools. They come from several numbers. This is the latest one they have been harassing me with. I have told them repeatedly to quit calling but they continue to do so and since I love messing with these fools when I have time I decided I will waste their time just as they have wasted mine.

I have called them over and over again and let them answer without saying a word to them. Just kept pressing redial and muting the call while I went about other business. Feels good knowing that someone there is getting pissed at answering a bunch of bs calls. When I get annoyed enough I'll put them on my reject list but until then I will do what I can to piss them off and waste their pathetic time.

Answered several times and no one on the other end. No idea how they got an unlisted number anyway so I think its a robo-dialer. Added to contacts as Do Not Answer so I won\\'t blindly answer again. I don\\'t know how numbers are assigned or handed out to people and businesses but this crap needs to be stopped.

This number calls continuously and is unwanted

These Indian people been trying to call me for about 3 years. Its been from different numbers along with 318.266.7537. Its coming from a pharmacy that trying to sell me pills like viagra etc. I told them to stop calling me and take me off the list but obviously that doesnt work. These people need to get a life.

I don't want to hear from anyone I don't know. You get one chance to leave me a message and if it's something I care about I'll call you back. If you call and don't leave a message you are automatically put into my call block list and then you will never be able to get through again.

I don't talk to telemarketers, bill collectors (especially since I have no debt), people doing surveys, or "investigators". If I wanted to help someone with an investigation I would have already contacted them.

I whitelist my phones during business hours and blacklist them the rest of the time. This number called during my whitelist hours and didn't leave a message. Then they called a few minutes ago during my blacklist hours. Now they have been added to the blacklist and will never be heard from again!

Calling me every day including Sunday mornings.  Have reported to every agency I can think of.  It is more than annoying, it is harrassment.

Aren't telemarketers forbidden to call on sundays? Since the callers are criminals they'll call you on sundays as well.
