 Refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor, hung up on me calls at all hours of the day.

Getting calls from this number 1-319-208-3793, Burlington, Ia.  for a person who is not me. It has been the same person calling, a Paige Patten.  She has never given me a company name for who she is working for, but wants information for this person (location) to give required notice. If I can't, I'm to call this #844-209-4129 an reference claim #. I have never answered any of these calls, they go to voicemail. The latest call from the 208-3793 started out saying " The county clerks office. This dept. will be actively be pursuing you at your place of employment and/ or your residence. I do have the legal right to resolve this case with the plaintive out side of court. Please understand that once you are located you do forfeit that right. You can contact our legal department at 1-319-208 3793 and refer to case #  or you may press 1 now to speak to the representative responsible for conducting the review." This is a recording call as it last 1min 5 sec. which this person (female) only talks for 32 sec. Don't know what to do about this. I have had phone calls from several different numbers 844-296-9004, 844-294-3221,844-296-8999,844-869-4472 right  before this. Some did not reference a company some did (UPG) looking for this same person who is not me. Again I have never answered these calls, they go to my voicemail. Looking it up on the internet people have posted it to be a scam. Those calls started in Jan-beginning of Feb. then stopped. These calls from the 319-208-3793 started up then at the end of Feb. to present. Any advice?

ID themselves as National Recovery Assets.  I think this is just a phony DBA for UPG.   Sometimes this UPG LLC uses a DBA of  UCG.  Long history of serious debt scamming on 800notes. Can't find anything in New York called National Recovery Assets.  They are obviously not calling from any governmental office.  They are threatening court action, but it's all a scare tactic.  No one forfeits any rights on the basis of any phone call and phone calls are not legal notification of anything.

A call blocker would be a good idea at this time, but remember they will sometimes call from different numbers and may spoof local numbers.    Don't return their calls and do not give them any information.

Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  DIME  until the debt is validated.

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. You may have to yell at them and talk over them.   Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
