Called and asked if I would be home to deliver legal documents.  Told him yes and he hung up. Tried calling back but no answer

Asked if I would be home to receive legal documents tomorrow.  Told him not sure.  Gave 2 different numbers to call back and kept tripping over his words.  Would not identify whom he was with.

I have gotten multiple phone calls from this number over the last 3 years. Every time i have tried to call the number back i have gotten a woman who claims the she never called me.

Asked for a guy.  I said I did not know that name.  Then her hung up.  Very rude.

When answered they asked for my husband, but I told them he was unavailable to speak to them is there something I could do or what information I need to tell my husband they would not give much information at all just said it is a Civil matter. They did not tell me the company name, and the person was very rude (Female) did not give me her name or anything much of detail only told me my husband needed to call 1-844-344-8527 between the hours of 8:30 am to 5:30 pm and use the reference number they gave me.

They called my phone as well looking for my husband about some legal documents. I told them in the state of Va it was illegal and they hung up on me as well...Spamers

Called me and said there was a civil matter and legal documents to be delivered.  Gave me a 244-583-7890 to call with a case number, so I called and they're telling me I owe for a loan or something from a "cash service payday" loan and had contacted a previous employer and got my information threatening me with legal documents and filing a case in court.  had my social security number, said it was placed in collections in 2010.  I don't know what the heck this is, when I asked for documentation of this I was told I could ask for it in court to the tune of $35/page.  I think this is ridiculous and sick of these people threatening me over something I don't even owe.

I received similar call. I am not paying this any attention. This is a scam.

They called my cell phone asking for my daughter and I said she didn't live their I will take the papers but they wouldn't send them because it would be illegal for me to see them it is illegal for them to call my cell phone if they want the person so back come and get them. VIA IN Person.

This number called me today. Ask me if I was me, I said yes. A lady ask if I would be home to receive legal documents? I told her I didn't know who they were and how could they leave papers when I had just moved. I told them they didn't have address and I had just filed bankruptc. She hung up on me. I called back no answer.

Definately spam. Also called me.
Just so you know -- 244 will direct you to the country (COUNTRY, not county) of ANGOLA. You may receive long distance charges.

Called me asked for a certain person.  I told them he did not live here.  They said they knew he didn't live here, but he had used me as a reference.  They asked me if I knew him, I said I did, they asked if I would give him a message I said I would not. They wished me a Happy Thanksgiving...didn't sound sincere....and hung up :)

I got the same phone call three times last three days sounds like [***] to me

They call everyday, I just ended up blocking them

Can somebody please do something about these [***]! And your call type should include Legal Documents Delivery! Really? These people go to no lengths with this mess!

I just got this call as well stating that they wanted to deliver legal documents would I be home tomorrow.  I told him not sure he said ok I will document.

A rude man phoned my husband...didn't even use my married name. Asked if I would be home tomorrow and was told no. Was very rude to my husband and never stated anything beyond delivering legal documents. I tried to call back and no answer. I looked up the number and found this site explaining the scam.

Criminals masquerading as debt collectors attempt to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged (they use the bad check or hot check claim a lot) and go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished without actually being sued or going to court, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this, all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.  One of the tricks they use is to call your family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money.  They will use the words “Mediator”, “Arbitrator”, or “Law Office” to make you believe that they are something other than a debt collector want-a-be and that they don’t have to follow Federal and State collection laws.  They do have to follow those laws, but they won’t.  They mention that they have received a Fax document, to create the sense of urgency.  They also tell you that if you fail to call them back you are "waiving your right to council", which is pretty much nothing but hogwash.  They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number where they will ask for money to “make it go away” (this is actually the same place, they work in teams, one pretending to be the server, and the other usually pretends to be a lawyer).  Process servers do not ever call ahead so that you can dodge them.  Process servers get paid to serve papers, nothing else.

I got the same call today from this 323-275-4783 number. They told me they had some legal documents to serve me with. Then gave me a number to a "Stuart bell associates" mediator to call with a reference number for my case.  When I called they had the same story about a loan I took out in 2010 from a personal cash advance company. They had a lot of my personal information addresses, phone numbers, bank that I used at the time. I kept telling them that I have no recollection of ever taking out a cash advance loan but they insisted and used my old information as proof. Scary that people will go to these lengths to take your information
