Got a call from this number. Caller ID says "San Diego Zoo", but the area code is outside of San Diego County. No message left.

Been receiving this call at least two times a day. Caller ID says "San Diego Zoo". Have answered and no response. Told them to quit calling and remove my number from their call list. Didn't do any good

Receive 2 calls a day.  Don't bother to answer and, of course, no message.  Caller ID on my calls say "Los Angeles, CA".

Nov. 16, 2016, 6:12 PM. Call from 323-275-5550.  Caller ID said, "SAN DIEGO ZOO."  No message.
First, this Area Code is in LA County, not San Diego.
Since my outgoing on message on my voice mail is a warning not to call again, which constitutes legal notice, the second and subsequent calls are billable if the caller can be correctly identified.  Anyone who talks to them, Please share!

Once again, if anyone talks to these folks, please let us know if you get a positive ID on who they  actually are.  We'd love to know!

For anyone who wonders why the Do Not Call system exists, here's an exerpt from their own web site:

"The FTC has sued hundreds of companies and individuals who were responsible for placing unwanted calls, and has obtained over a billion dollars in judgments against violators.
"In addition, the FTC is leading several initiatives to develop a technology-based solution.  The FTC has sponsored a series of robocall contests challenging the tech-savvy public to design tools that block robocalls and help investigators track down and stop robocallers.  The FTC also is encouraging industry efforts to combat caller ID spoofing."

Called and left NO message.  When number is dialed, immediately a recorded message is played, ". . . you have reached Donor Services Group . . ." and continues blah blah blah with on behalf of whom this telemarketing/donation solicitation entity is contacting "you" for "donations." and to ". . .stay on the line. . ." for a "representative" to assist you.  In this current case, it was supposedly on behalf of the Zoological Society of San Diego.  Clearly this is a telemarketing style robocalling entity, basically a SPAM/SCAM entity for hire.  DO NOT ANSWER!

Caller ID says it is San Diego Zoo.  No one left message.  The San Diego Zoo area is 619 not 323.

Caller ID says "San Diego Zoo"  With an LA number.... RIGHT!  Like I would answer that crap!!!

Called and did not leave message......caller ID says "zooligolical society"?!!?  Did not even have the correct spelling!

I got 2 calls from this number today (5/24/2017)
There was no message the first time but the second time there was a 1:49 message with a man talking in the background. I couldn't make out what he was saying.

And again yesterday at 4:30 pm.  Didn't answer and no message.

Again today at 4:30 pm.  Wish they would give up with their scam....

We are members of the San Diego Zoo and our membership is nearing its renewal.  It is odd, but the number indicated is a Los Angeles area number although the caller ID indicates Zooligolical So.  Strange!  Probably an outside outfit that can't even spell properly the organization they "represent."

Every day now without fail!!

I answered and a man wanted to thank me for my years as a member and give me a gift of a 12 month planner. I told him mo thank you and he continued to talk in which I then hung up.

This guy is trolling for private info.  He's good, too.  I'm going to block his number.

robo call. Says Donor Services Group on behalf of ..oological Society of San Diego (bad pronunciation). Says can't connect call and call this number.

called San Diego Zoo. This company indeed works with the Zoological society but is unaware of the scamming robo calls. Both Donor Services Group and Zoological Society promised to stop the robo calls. 2 hours later, I got the next robo call from this number!!!

I get up to three calls a day and usually every other day.  I got REAL sick of it so last week on Monday, contacted the Zoo.  They admitted that it was their fund soliciting group.  I told them that I have tried three times to get removed from the list.  Told them that we have been Zoo members for decades, and they continue to call.  I called the Zoo again and spoke with management and they promised me that they would remove my name from their funding organization.  It didn't happen and we still got calls.  So, talked with the Zoo again on Thursday and told them that if it didn't stop by Saturday, I was going to report them.  Well....Two calls again today! So, this email went to the Zoo management:

Okay, so you didn't help again!!!
Two calls yesterday Friday the 24th.  One at 2:43 pm and one at 6:52 pm.

I am giving until Tuesday the 28th and if ANY more calls are received from your telemarketing harassment group, I will, on Wednesday the 29th, file a complaint with the FTC and the FCC, and please do NOT look for us to renew next year.  You apparently do not need our money!

I will also make it clear on the website that posts such calls (and there are MANY about the San Diego Zoo soliciting calls), of the action I am taking and suggest that the others also report your fund raising group and end their membership!!!!
