I write down the number, then contact the Senior Abuse Office at the Sheriff's Office.

What an annoyance.  If I want to buy something, I will solicit the call.

Caller ID said "CA."  I didn't pick up and never do, they didn't leave a message.  I appreciate those who wrote herein about the nature of this scam.  Thanks.  I agree with the poster who suggested that 800notes get with the program and put in a "Scam" category.  It's long overdue.

Have you not figured out that these a scammers trying to get information from you?

I believe alot of people does not understand the Do Not Call list.  It was set up to stop unwanted calls from companies you have not did business with before.  The legit companies can get a copy of the list (first time is free) to add your numbers to their internal do not call lists.  If you have did business with any companies even if it has been many years ago, they still can contact you.  You will need to tell they that you do not want to be contact any more.  They will add you to their internal do not call lists.  Also remember that calls (surveys, political calls, fundraisers, etc.) that are not trying to sell products, goods, and/or services are exempt from the Do Not Call list.  Scammers do not care if you are on the Do Not Call list.  They calling to get information from you to steal your money.

They called here but didn't leave message. I don't answer calls that I don't know the number.

Just got a call. They called it CA. I didn't answer. I always let them go to answering machine and most of these thieves hang up when the answering machine turns on.

This is just another robo-scam call to inform you that you qualify for the National Senior Assistance Program and $3000.00 worth of free food coupons.

Also: never EVER call them back, or press any buttons! It confirms your number in their system as “working”, and can result in “cramming” if your phone provider happens to be AT&T or Verizon.

I want to thank you for enduring the aggravation of answering these calls for the benefit of us older folks. I don't answer calls with numbers I don't recognize, then I check them out online. I appreciate your time and attention.

just got call from this # stating that they can save me 3k on groceries.  this seems to be a big scam for senior citizens  and at the end they are saying I'm  eligible  for an alert system for free.  this is  all a scam.  I cannot because I'm still using the old pulse phone system (non digital) so when I press any number I disconnect.   Is there any way the fcc and commerce  department STOP these calls and put these guys away?  I have subscribed to the do not call list but this seems to have no effect on these people.

The only purpose in the medic alert for seniors scammer's calls to us, is to get our credit card numbers, so they can cheat us!

I got the "free grocery certificates" call today. They are pushing a "free" medical; alert braclet. It is far from free.

I wasn't home...no message left...this number has called me before - always a scam, usually the med alert device.
never answer this number.
