These crooks are so blatant, answered the phone and it was a recording...if it was a person I would like to have had a whistle and blown it....right in their ear. I am so damn mad that we get these calls all the time.now I don't answer any numbers that I don't recognize I have told friends and family this...

Sounds almost to good to be true

Yup same here, $3,000 in groceries and a medical alert bracelet.  As a teledata expert I can tell you not to push 1 or 2, just hang up.  They called me twice today and are trying to get to my elderly parents.  I will they could lock up ALL telemarketers not just this bogas clown.

Just called , left no message.

The government can't do any thing about this, but they can listen to every ones phone conversation all over the world....Seems odd to me..I will never answer my phone for these bottom feeders..

Looked here before answering. Glad I did. Did not answer. Left no message on answering machine.

I did not recognize this number. I answered the phone "FBI, this is not a secure line". Quit most calls from robo. Perhaps this is the Obama program misquided.

I waited several minutes on the line for one of the foreign speaking idiots to pick up the phone as I was well aware of the scam against the elderly.   I told the Idian speaking representative that I was a regional manager for MEDALERT and that we NEVER advertise this way by calling people.  If anyone calls us it's the party needing the bracelet or a family member which is then followed up by a representative going to the home of the client to give a demonstration.   What did he do "HANG UP" !!!!!   He never gave me the chance to let him know the scam he was trying to pull was advertised on the nightly news 3 months ago and every elderly party knew of the scam.....bummer.

Being from Texas, I sympathize, but did you miss the memo ?  Corporate America has no ethics and has no customer service - greed is the only thing that drives corporate business - look at the reports on Bank of America - it has paid billions in fines for its actions before and after the financial meltdown on 2009, but the latest report I read less than a week ago says it has not changed its policies one iota - it just spends more time appealing to the upper crust customer - the Middle Class is just a bunch of dummies to be separated from their money any way possible. Go to the Consumers Union website and see how you can fight back - they are doing some good.

unwanted phone call

This scam was just on the news the other day.  HANG UP and don't ask to be removed from their list; all that does is tell them they have a working number, which they will then sell to other scammers.

What I do is pick up the phone just long enough to connect the call, then hang up without a word.  They don't get an answering machine; they don't get to post their spiel, and they get charged for the call.  It works; sooner or later I drop off most lists (only to be added to new ones, alas).

I wonder if all these scam calls are clogging up the NSA's phone call snooping data repository and adding stress to the software they use to cherry pick morsels of nefarious behavior from the recorded content? Maybe the answer lies somewhere in exploiting the NSA's snooping habits.  Just answer these calls, get a live person and tell them point blank that you are not interested now or ever in joining a terrorist organization, you have no interest in blowing up buildings and to please stop calling. If the NSA is listening they just might go after these callers.
