Called and didn't leave a message!

this number calls and never leaves a message.  It just annoys me when I race for the phone and it is this number.

debt collector trying to collect a debt they bought for pennies on the dollar then trying to collect full amount.these scum bags are what is known as bottom feeders they break every law and use hundreds of phone numbers,when are the phone companies going to limit the number of numbers these type of crooks can have.they need to just go away.crooks.

It is my understanding that Portfolio bought a phone carrier and all the numbers that went with it.  I have to wonder when people will stop expecting someone else to solve their problems when they have the ability to solve it themselves.  Of course that takes a little effort, so maybe you are too lazy to take the time?  Or are you simply uninformed?  If it is the latter, then you should take the time to read and follow my post here:

Low life thugs.  I don't have any debt.  Never ever pay these type of people even if you do actually owe. Go back to the real company and pay them.  They will settle the debt with you also usually lower.  Dont give these thugs your credit card, social etc.   They are theives that can't find jobs anywhere else!  They Will sell your private information.

Or better yet, use the information in this thread to make the calls stop, report them, and make them pay you.
By the way, if the debt was legally sold and assigned to them, then you legally owe them not the original creditor.  Assuming you did pay the OC, you would, according to contract law, still owe Portfolio.

Called a museum when we weren’t open. No message left. Called them back an hour later. Gave them the number they called and were told we weren’t on their list. Then why did they call?
