i received the same message about a $900 payday loan from this number as well as 408-830-4776. how did they get our numbers?

I received a text message - it says:  Need extra holiday cash?  You qualify for a payday loan up to $900, Receive loan within 1 hour. No credit check required.

Per Verizon customer support you can reply to this text with "stop" without the quotes and they are supposed to not spam text again.

The FBI must have quite a back log.  My friend's 82 year old mother starting receiving phone calls from this phone number in April saying she won 2.6 million and a Mercedes Benz.  He says in order to deliver the money and car she was to purchase a green.money pack card in the amount of $XXX.XX and call him back with the number on the card. She fell for it and now this guy has called back numerous times asking for more money and each time the amount increases.   She has sent him hundreds of dollars.  Needless to say, she has not seen a car, nor the 2.6 mill.  What a shame.
