Computer voice mail:  "...get this message speak to our office or call us back on our hotline number 323-522-5898, I repeat that is 323-522-5898.  Please disregard this notice and you return this call before we begin this illegal proceedings against you, thank you."

Unknown caller, left a voice mail.  Sounding very much like what was noted by Joe B.

Same as Joe and Anon. I called back, first busy then no answer or voicemail box. Sounds like a scam.

Computer voice claims that there "has been fraudulent activity on your Social Security Account and you need to call back right away before we begin legal proceedings"  -  then they repeat the telephone number which shows up on called ID.   Checked with our local Social Security office.  They say that the call is a scam.
