I received a call from Lisa Taylor from 1800-860-9701.

I received a call from Janice from this company.  They call asking for a member of the family like they are friends, but then give it away with the toll free number.  Then when I asked Janice if there was any message she mentioned it was personal.  In response to this I told her that she should not expect a return phone call if she couldn't provide more details.  Now I know that personal matter must be code for collection agency so I definitely will not forward the message.  The company shows up as F. Proper on the caller ID.

I keep telling these people to stop calling, I tell them that I am not the MAN they are looking to collect from.  They refuse to give me the name of their organization, when I ask for their company name and tell them that I will report them to the attorney general for harrassment, they hang up on me.

They refuse to send anything in the mail to take care of payments. Cannot confirm who they are, and claim to have no billing department even though they are a collection agency. Refused to send anything in writing to prove I owed them money, and now after they refused that payment method, they will not remove negative reports from my credit.

This guy calls from 330 821 9700 and threatened me.

They say I owe $1525. My credit report my bank gave me says I owe $1755. The collection agency says they sent the bill atleast 3 times. I have never received a bill or paper work to set up payments. They want me to do it over the phone in automatic payments or one lump some. My Insurance company never received a bill from them either.

So, to your knowledge, YOURS, not what a credit report says, or what a bill collector says, do you owe an unpaid debt?  You mention an insurance company, is this health insurance?  Auto insurance?  What?  If you do have unpaid bills, that you know are owed, you need to address that problem.  That does not  mean a debt collector is who you should pay, but that depends on what is going on here.  You could owe a legit debt, but that does not mean the debt collector calling is legit.  I am bothered about not seeing paperwork.

By Law, you have to be informed of the debt, by mail, not by phone, not by e-mail, fax or pony express.  Until that has happened, do not be setting up payment plans.

I am sending a link that should give you some help to start with, but it is hard to give much guidance without knowing more.  The credit report need to be figured out too.  Get back to us in this thread.
