Got a call from this number, the man left a voicemail claiming to be with Huntington Bank and that he had “information to share with me”

A person named Michael Walker called and left a message saying he was from Huntington Bank Corporate office and had information to discuss with me about my account.   This number is not even associated with Huntington.   Scam call for sure and blocking number.

Guy says he’s Mike Walker with Huntington Bank Corporate Office in Akron. He “has some information to discuss”

“Mike Walker” from Huntington Bank Akron is calling my wife but calling my number and states he has some information. Clearly a scam but there does appear to be a Mike Walker who works at Huntington Bank corporate in Columbus.

I believe that is his cell number.  Currently using him to do a HELOC

Guy identifies himself as Mike Walker with Huntington Bank Corporate Office in Akron. Says he has some information to discuss. He has called three times so far in past week on home phone. Not there to answer, left message on answering machine.

Me too, two days straight.   Akron corporate office.  No reason I would have banking issues there.

Tried to call right back after getting this message. No answer.

Guy called claiming to be Michael Walker. After looking the name up and seeing this. Huntington Bank Corporate Office is not near Akron, OH and a VP of Treasury would have no reason to personally call me.

I received a call today from Mike Walker who said he was from Huntington  Bank in Akron OH He seemed to know about all my accounts. Now that I think about it I am not sure why he called me. When I asked him that question he said to tell me about their promotions but he never mentioned any.

Received a voicemail from Mike Walker who said he was from Huntington corporate office in Akron Ohio and has some information to tell me. Has called several times and leaves voicemails.

After reading comments I am deleting this voicemail. Same thing as others Mike Walker wants to discuss my account. If I need anything I will go to my local bank!

Same that other have stated. Left VM Mike Walker from Huntington Bank to discuss my accounts. I did find a LinkedIn Mike Walker who works for Huntington but this is a terrible way to communicate if it's legit.

Did some digging. Called Huntington customer service. They confirmed that Mike Walker by that phone number is an employee of Huntington in the Sales department.

I called him back. He wanted to discuss my HELOC and options to renew. I did not have to give him any personal information other than my name and he knew the rest about my situation.

Bottom line, this is not a scam call, it is legit, albeit a bit annoying. Hope this helps.

So why was it such a big secret that "Mike" couldn't tell you in his message that he was calling about  options to renew your HELOC? And why should we believe your claims this call is legit instead of all the other posts saying otherwise?
