Called about 3 times Same number but some say Lincoln Mass. and 2 say FRANCE . Picked up one time by mistake because I was expecting a call. Sounded like a recorded message but didn't listen long enough to hear it.  Realizing its some sort of scam I immediately hung up.

Talked with a John who directed me to a website: www.helpme.net.  There was no way to directly decline this alleged "renewal of my Windows Defender" subscription  - which I don't have to my knowledge,   He kept my waiting on the phone when I couldn't hear him. I decided it was a scam and hung up.  I hope he couldn't "farm" any information from my computer during these interruptions.  I finally told him when he asked me for the 12th time  " can you hear me". !!!

Claimed to be Microsoft.  They said I had an account with them that was being closed down and to call a number that they gave in order to get a refund.
