Claimed to be the IRS, that a lawsuit against me was soon to be filed, and that I needed to call them back immediately.  I blocked the number.

Digital female voice message saying it was a call from the IRS, and threatening to file a lawsuit against me, and to call an area code (206) number for more details. Total scam, don't fall for it. The IRS ONLY contacts people through the mail or in very bad events, in person. BLOCK THIS NUMBER.

Rec'd  2 Voice msgs, 16 Feb 17, from 347-571-5992, saying lawsuit being filed by IRS.  Scam for sure.  Notice they don't  say who in the family is being sued?  That's  why they want u to call back on that fake IRS nr, so they can get your name off of the Caller ID.
Block the nr & report it to the Fed Trade Commission!
800 Nores:  we know this IS a scam, but u don't  allow us the option of listing it as such?  Why?  It's  unknown as to who is calling, but the call type is definitely NOT unknown.  We know it's NOT the IRS. They send letters!  Please....?

They probably don't  even know where or who they are calling ! They never say on their voice msg, the name of the person they claim is being sued by the IRS.
Now don't  we know that the IRS would know  & identify the person, by name, that they want to call them back? Definitely not the IRS!  Scam!

Received a phone call on my mobile from 347-571-5992 with a recorded message saying the IRS has been trying to get a hold of me and now they are going to file a lawsuit against me.  The recording said I needed to call 512-489-9160 to discuss the matter. TOTAL SCAM!

Did not answer. They left the following message" "Filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file please call immediately our department number 512-489-9160"

I did not answer, a voice mail was left.  It was a recording of a woman's voice telling me that I was going to be sued by the IRS. The call back number is 512-515-9160.

Got the same message a few minutes ago.  Did not answer the phone they left a message saying they were from the IRS and to call 512-489-9160.  What a joke.

Same as above, blocked the number.

My scam call came in at 6:02 AM!!! Woke my entire family up! Grrr! Reported it to the FTC.

Got a call from the above number (NYC area code). My voice mail didn't "catch" or "they" eliminated the IRS part.  I just got a lawsuit was being filed against me (no name just "me") but my call back # was 786-410-9025 (Miami Area Code).  If I had heard IRS I wouldn't have been concerned because our local news (Chicago) just had an "expose" on this very topic.

I received the same call yesterday. The mess. was to call the Dept at this # 512-489-9160. I know it's a scam. It's that time of year again when the Scammers are out. The IRS will never call you.

I got the same call this morning, two times.

Received 3 calls, voicemail said to call 786-563-0354 about being sued by the IRS. Blocked this caller.

Received the same threatening call twice from 347-571-5999 telling me to call the dept number

Called me just now with same BS.  Used to work at IRS, so I find these calls laughable.
