    Hen Lady
Angry women called me.  Said she was from the Investigation Dept at the IRS and I had a warrant out for my arrest.  Her name was Esther Rose, Badge no. 85274.  She said the phone call was being recorded by home land security.  Each time I asked a question, she got angrier.  I asked for a phone number I could to verify...she gave me the 347-897-0920 no.  She told me if I didn't call back in 5 mins she would turn my case file over to local police to have me arrested.  Obviously a scam, but I don't understand if we can all identify this number, why can't authorities do something about these horrible people?!?!?!

Man call from 347-897-0920 said he was from IRS Investigation Dept with badge number 793010. There is a warrant out for my arrest because of 3 charges of tax evasion. He had a bit of an accent, and also said he can give me limited information on my case if I can follow 3 rules: make sure I stay on this recorded line, make sure there is no 3rd party conversation, make sure there I do not disclose any personal identifiable information. The first question he asked was how do I normally file my taxes. (I thought this information an IRS person should know?). When I said I cannot disclose personal information, then he said that is not personal information. If I want to call back to verify I can check with the courts and police will come arrest me. Then he said you are saying you want to get arrested by the police and then hung up. When I called back, there was no phone tree or greeting from IRS. A woman pick up after about 3 rings and she said she need my name to pull up the file and that she was in the IRS investigation department. Her accent was more pronounce. Then she said my file said I told the investigator I want to be arrested. Then I said, let me call the IRS to verify this is the case and she then said you go ahead and don't call us back, you "b*tch." (apologies for the foul language). This is the whole conversation, so hopefully this will help prevent other readers to know the tactic the scammers will use. It is not even an toll-free number. It is a New York number. The IRS is in DC no?

Yup . . . lady with a VERY thick Indian accent (so thick I could hardly understand what she was saying) . . . told me she was from the IRS and that they'd issues a warrant for my arrest due to my tax issues (which I have NONE).  I laughed at her, said "Not Interested", and hung-up.  If they call back I think I'll ask them what my address is, to make sure that the officer can find me when he comes to arrest me :-)

BTW, in your "Call Type" list-box (below) why don't you list "Scam"?!?!?

I just find it completely ironic that all these comments were within the day or hour. I also think that the cops should do something about this. They could very much be scamming and conducting fraud to clueless innocent people.  Nevertheless this number called me months ago and randomly decided to start calling me again.  I have filled a report on these people who seem to have nothing better to do with their lives.  I also recorded a conversation and sent it with the report.  Hope this is taken care of once and for all..

Same exact thing. Called me on my cell phone and knew my name and address and said there was a warrant out for my arrest and if I hung up they would send the police to my house. Very heavy Indian accent and extremely aggressive. Told me if I interrupted he would hang up and send the police. Read me some non existent right act from 1928 and asked if I wanted to find out what he was calling for. The call disconnected on his end and he called back three times within the next minute before giving up and leaving a 3 second silent voice mail. I called my local police station to find out if anything was going on and they said this scam is nothing new and they advised to block the number and not pay it any attention and to make sure not to give them any information about myself.

It seems whole IRS scams coming back again??
Here is REAL IRS providing information about protection from the IRS Scam

    From website :https://www.irs.gov/uac/Newsroom/Scam-Phone-C ... uspicious-Calls

The IRS reminds people that they can know pretty easily when a supposed IRS caller is a fake. Here are five things the scammers often do but the IRS will not do. Any one of these five things is a tell-tale sign of a scam. The IRS will never:
Call to demand immediate payment, nor will we call about taxes owed without first having mailed you a bill..

Demand that you pay taxes without giving you the opportunity to question or appeal the amount they say you owe.

Require you to use a specific payment method for your taxes, such as a prepaid debit card.

Ask for credit or debit card numbers over the phone.

Threaten to bring in local police or other law-enforcement groups to have you arrested for not paying.

If you get a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS and asking for money, here’s what you should do:
If you know you owe taxes or think you might owe, call the IRS at 1.800.829.1040. The IRS workers can help you with a payment issue.

Go to the linked website for Full information.

Everyone! Don't just give any personal info. Period!! No money transfer over the phone. Period (unless you are buying a ticket or something exceptional occasions)!!!  Police won't arrest you unless IRS documentation (never will be over the phone!). And, still they won't arrest you without confirmation and proof!!!  If the person the other side is mad without reason or because asking for money? Call police and report.
