Got exactly the same message on my voicemail. Three different people left messages regarding my coned account. Called coned and told me I don't have any problem with my account. These calls are scams.

When I called back the number to return a call ( curious about what is it about) , got someone on the line.He wanted to asked about my coned account and said they can help me lower my bills?? I'm sorry I'm not giving any of my account info!!!

City Power and Gas is authorized Energy Services Company that participate in NY Power Your Way Program.
What Con Edison customers need to know is that The Energy Industry has changed, and Con Edison has changed with it.

                              New York Post
                                    Coned
The company admits it's electric rates are among the narion's highest, but at an investors' conference last year, Con Ed CFO Robert Hoglund suggested New Yorkers can afford them.

Con Ed says it plans to spend $1 Billion on "storm-hardening" upgrades over the next four years.

Hurricane Sandy has boosted what Con Ed must spend to maintain gas lines, wires, pipes and other equipment .

Those equipment-maintenance charges appear on customers' bills as separate items from wholesale gas and electricity prices.

Con Ed told the state Public Service Commission, much of the Sandy cleanup expense was covered by insurance

But uninsured costs - as well as the expense of preparing for future giant storms have pushed up its expenses so much, Con Ed says, that it needs another $375 million from it's electric customers and another $25 million from it's gas customers.

Because those costs are spread over several years, they'll have a long-term impact on customers bills.
New Yorkers live in small spaces, Hoglund said, their bills are in line with national averages, "$85 to $100 per month." They can afford them.

Incoming call was sent to a special extension for calls of this nature.  Linda asked for a return call to her Extension #103 with a bill in hand to save money on gas and electric bills.  Said she was calling for a competitive supplier.
UNBELIEVABLE HOW MANY COMPETITORS CALL EACH WEEK!  We definitely know where to call if a change in supplier is needed!!

It is a company that supplies electricity and gas to the NY area, since NY supply is no longer regulated.  You don't have to get your supply from ConEd, you have a choice.  They are extremely cheaper than ConEd, no contract or fees attached.  Save money NY, looki into other suppliers than just ConEd.

The posters know enough that they can look into other suppliers if they want.  You don't need to come here, acting as a shill for the company - which is, btw?  You never did say who the company was.

Yep.  Just another hit and run shill....

No sound when you pick up and say hello. Then someone comes on to ask to speak to whoever handles your gas & electric bills. They've been calling every single week for the whole month already!!

Obviously you work for the energy company that is trying to get Con Ed's business.  However this is basically
a bait and switch tactic.  You get one year at a reduced rate and then after the contract runs out the price
goes up to supply.  First month a 2 cents, second months 4 cents, so it goes.  Do not buy into the scam.

Just touch mute and listen the the scammer talk, "Hello, hello, hello,....."   The more time you keep them tied up the less time they have to scam the elderly out of their life savings. Don't hang up too quickly after they get tired of saying hello and disconnect. It will tie up one of the scammers lines and make them less productive.

    Don't trust them
No matter what they promise you still have to pay con ed for the use of their lines co ed owns the power and gas lines unless the other company is going to come and install new power or gas lines you still have to pay con ed don't believe the hype
