Debt collector. Refused to give details on creditor, date from debt or contact info. Transferred multiple times and hung up on multiple times. Many refused to give a name. Staying payment due or would be reported to the credit bureau.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.  

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter, email, or text (postmarked in the case of a letter) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. Unless they have communicated it to you verbally at the beginning of your conversation. It also must contain the “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this communication must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified. If and when you get that communication you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.

They don't say who they are.  The number they tell you to call is not the number they are calling from. I don't owe anyone so it has to be scam

they call leave a message for me, on my husbands phone mind you.  They state they have called multiple times when they have not. when I call nobody ever answers.

Keeps calling me, the person they are looking for is not at this number. They have the wrong number and keep calling me

I have no debts.... so this is bull!   Someone needs to call them out on their scam !!!

Someone like you could do that, since you are the one they called and all that information you posted about them, should surely put them away for a long time!

I don’t owe any money so I don’t know why they’re calling. They left my daughter a voicemail but not me but it says they’re looking for me because I owe something and I don’t.

Keep calling us saying to call them back with a file number but won’t give any info unless we verify our info and the number we call back to is a different number they call from. Scam

They leave a bogus file number; 811225 and tell you to call the phone number mentioned if you want to handle on your own. The call originated from (240) 806-3134.

Left voicemail; poor English speaking

Called about a supposed outstanding debt. Will not say who the debtor is or any other information. Stated it is against the law to give me that info. I requested a written letter with the details and they refused to do that.

Called many times call form a different number than they ask to call me back on both times they have said my maiden name i have been married for 17 years so there is than and they leave different "case" numbers
