Spam telemarketer call regarding energy savings. Blocked.

[***] telemarketer called my cell and woke me upin the middle of the night as i was in Europe

Missed call--no message. Called me at work. I never provide this number out so not sure how a telemarketer could have gotten it.

Received recorded call at work through the switchboard offering a free cruise in exchange for answers to survey questions. Very  irritating.

Telemarketer called. I didn't let him finish his spiel. Told him I'd find him and cut his b@lls off and disconnected the call. Took 13 seconds and he hasn't called back.

this number called my direct extension at wok. i'm not sure how it can even be done since i don't have an external direct line. people are NOT supposed to be able to call my desk phone directly. changing pin numbers are always needed to call my phone.

Keeps calling our unlisted number and hanging up, leaves no message. There should be a law specifically against this. We get calls all day long every day f the week from this number and others around the country. They must somehow profit from calling and not connecting. Life is difficult enough!!!!

Telemarketers AGAIN!  Every phone # I have is on the Do Not Call List.  What good does it do?

What good does it do? If legal telemarketers (there are still a few, I think)  see your number is on the list, they won't call you. Unfortunately, DNC doesn't apply to everyone legal (surveyors, politicians, charities) and the illegal aren't concerned about violating it.  And the surveyors, politicians, charities, and criminals outnumber the legals by a large (and growing larger by the day) margin.  A HUGE margin.
In short, there is NOTHING that can prevent someone from calling you on the telephone, provided they have your number. There are lots of things you can do after the fact (block calls, refuse to answer, report to DNC & local law enforcement where applicable, etc.), but unless you want to ditch your phones (cell and land line), you will continue to get calls. Gen. MacArthur said only the dead have seen the end of war, and I'm afraid only the dead have seen the end of nuisance telephone calls.

these are computer generated robo calls that dial random numbers . They do not know you they just want to scam you. If they ask for you by name...they bought a list from someone you do business with already. What planet are you people on anyway?

These guys are solicitors trying to sell you ANYTHING they can possibly conjure up to get your credit card information, and your phone number, and address. They will sell you NOTHING - but take your information. You need to stay away from anyone selling anything over the phone. They prey upon the uneducated and not-so computer savvy. Stay away from these people.

They claim they can help you with your Google listings - anyone can do that. You can do that yourself. Don't pay anyone to do that. If you do, I'll be calling you next to see if you need a new car wax for extreme climates.
