United Breast Cancer Foundation per caller ID; called about 12 noon Mountain Time today.  I am suspicious of ANY cancer charity except the American Cancer Society these days because of the number of people who have faked cancer to get donations in the state where I live (Utah).  Also, there were several bogus Utah based cancer charities busted about two years ago, which kicks my suspicion level up another notch.  Blocked the number and I suggest you do the same.  385 is a Utah area code, so unfortunately I can't block the entire area code.

Phone call at 9pm tonight. Really!  Caller ID showed United Breast Cancet. Wanted to talk to a male name in the house. I said not available. Phone clicked. Really?  Why ask got the make name and call do late at 9PM!

United Breast Cancer has called me twice today.  I haven't answered either time.  I would never give money to ANY charity who cold called me.  I'll donate to who I want, when I want.  I think most of us feel the same, so I don't understand why these organizations keep calling.  Do they really get that many donations from phone calls?  I'm not even going to classify them as a "non-profit" in the call type menu, as I suspect they are more of a scam, and someone does indeed profit off of their fundraising, and it ain't cancer research!

WARNING! About 45 minutes ago, I answered my phone and a woman said "Marsha" I said yes and then I heard a click and she asked again "Marsha?" Dumb me again said yes. Then I heard a click again and the phone went dead. I looked at the number on my caller ID and it said United Breast C. The phone number was 385-210-1946. I've heard of a similar scam about getting calls and someone saying "Can you hear me?", trying to get a yes response. Then they have a recording of you saying the word yes and cramming either your phone bill, cable bill or using your credit card for fraudulent charges. When you dispute the charges, they produce this recording with you saying yes. Right after it happened, I realized I'd been duped and called my credit card company to cancel my card. Luckily, I only have one card and have always refused a checking card. Still just using old fashioned checks. Now I'm glad I don't have a checking card. Call me old-fashioned. Anyway, this is a word of warning to everyone. The lady at the credit card company said that it sounds like a twist on "Can you hear me now?" scam. Please feel free to share. I am beyond frustrated!  :(

Relentless pests that continue to call with their bogus charity.

I get calls from "United Breast C" several times per week.  I have answered a few times and told them very bluntly "NO".  The rest of the time I just don't answer at all.  Yet they persist.  Idiots.  I wish the call type menu had a "scam" option.

This was a load of crap. Some spiel that she obviously reads to whoever answers and I asked where she was calling from and she said northern Michigan. Really?? Why is it a Utah area code then? She asked if they could count on my support and I said "No" and hung up. I hate these people. Nothing in the caller ID but the phone number. Shouldn't have answered.

Called early on a weekend so my wits were not with me when i said "yes" to my name. Nasty sounding woman says "you're harder to get a hold of than my grandson when he has his hand in the cookie jar. Hi, my name is Alice and I'm a professional fundraiser" .That's when I woke up and hung up the phone.

Wanting donations for breast cancer.  PLEASE, Donate to your local charity , this is a SCAM. Do not give these people money.   DO NOT answer your phone to them.

Repeated calls from this so-called breast cancer foundation.  Have had breast cancer; have paid dearly for it.  Resent these solicitations from an organization known to pay its own fundraisers and NOT to contribute in any way to research or to support for sufferers.  Do not wish to be a victim twice.  ADVISE TO REPORT NUMBER TO LOCAL PHONE COMPANIES, TO DNC, TO DOJ.
