I received a text from this number at 4:21 PM on March 18, 2024 claiming to be from "Audrey from AHR, LLC", looking to be an attempt to buy my house.  I receive unwanted advertisements like this in the mail all the time, receiving them over email/text is even less trusted than physical letters & expected to be a scam.  The text was not responded to & the number will likely be blocked in the future.

Yet you did not do your part in preventing texts like this in the future.  Why not?  Why did you bother to report here if you don't really care about other people?

My phone does not give the option to report a number on texts, only on phone calls.  The number has to be in my call history to file a report against them, texts do not show in the call history, therefore reporting a text without a call isn't an option.

Untrue.  Because you can forward that text to 7726 and carriers will then block it.

I wasn't aware of this...  I've verified that this is actually a thing, so I will likely start using it in the future (wishing I had known about it earlier when I was getting malicious links through texts).

I got a call from this Audrey person as well, but she's using another number now. 385-533-2782
Totally gives me the creeps that's she's texting about my property and her location is who knows where from some corporation and unknown agenda. I really hate this new tech world I'm forced to deal with.

She contacted me again via text today, May 7th, at 1:21 PM while I was in a call. I determined at this point it was time to block the number.

Could you make a copy and paste message where you helpfully give people the number to forward unsolicited messages to instead of accusing them of not wanting to eliminate these kind of messages? Here's an example:

You didn't mention reporting this message to your carrier, so I wanted to let you know you can easily do that by forwarding it to 7726 and the carriers will block it. It doesn't seem to be common knowledge but it will help cut down these calls for everyone.

You could even include a link to a site that discusses this service so people can learn more about it. In this exchange it took the poster replying to your adversarial post in order to elicit the information on how to combat this. I doubt many people reply to your posts and thus never learn this.
