Called my representing themselves as a charity for veterans.  When I stated that I would only donate if they sent me something in the mail they hung up.

It says Carolina RI as caller I.D. They called at 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 6.

Since I am located in Rhode Island, I picked up the phone and heard nothing and hung up.

Carolina is a village located in the towns of Charlestown and Richmond, RI. It is rural and basically residential. There are perhaps 70 businesses in the area if you count the volunteer fire department, library, and churches.

I think someone was "working from home" perhaps making charitable contribution phone calls?

Eiher way - it is not someone calling to help you with something so don't bother answering.

Called home phone several times. Did not leave message. When I tried to call back, recording said number not in service.

11/13/14 Same caller ID said Carolina RI I didn't answer (I never do if I don't recognize the number)
They called every other hour for several hours.
If they can put a satellite on a moving comet at 84,000 mph, why cant they stop these calls?

I agree! Been receiving calls from this number today. Very annoying.

Received two calls today from this number,only for me it comes up as a Charlestown number...I have cox communications and 99.9 percent of the calls are not for us...telemarketers/bill collectors looking for other people it's ridiculous! And why is it.when people try to call these numbers back it says "not in service"....then how did they just call?

If they are calling for contributions...illegal from home.... I am forwarding what I searched to u.s.attorney General

They leave a message with a recorded voice saying they can't reach me so they are going to show up at my home or place of business with a warrant for 2 pending cases. They only way to  stop them taking this action is to pay them right now with a debit or credit card.  ITS SOME KIND OF A SCAM !  When I tried calling the number back it disconnect me

Left me a prerecorded, robotic message that my "social" would be suspended due to suspicion and illegal activity. I called the number they gave me (the one that originally called me) and it was a man with an accent. I hung up after he tried to get my personal information. Must be a scam and I reported them to the inspector general's office.

Left message threatening

Left a voicemail saying they were the investigating division of the IRS and a lawsuit has been filed against me blah, blah, blah.

Telemarking

Received a call, no voicemail. Have no clue who they are.

Callers are from India, using spoof numbers. Scam/Fraud
