I got two calls from this number within a couple of minutes. There was no answer on the other end, and it sounded like an echo of my own voice as I kept saying hello.  I didn't answer the phone the second time.

I got one call from this number, try calling the number back, a machine said that this phone number is not longer in service.

These numbers are from Life Span Medical Group from either Roger Williams Hospital in Providence RI or Land Mark Hospital in Woonsoocket RI

In my case, the caller said she was from Miriam Hospital in Providence, also part of the Lifespan Medical Group. She had my name and the name of a patient already, so the caller was highly credible.

recieved over a hundred calls from this number yesterday to our domestic violence emergency number. caller is female and would threaten me as well as call me every name in the book of insults. she sounded extremely intoxicated and would say that her insults are covered by freedom of speech.

I was told by RI 911 that the call was coming from Mirriam Hospital in Providence

I called the number and it says the number is no longer in service or disconnected.

This number is from miriam pre administration.

Received a call bout 5 minutes ago called back but couldn't connect. Tried a second time but same thing.

This number is indeed the pre-admission testing for Miriam Hospital. I would not have answered the strange number but fortunately
my husband picked it up because they were changing the time of his test. Miriam and its associated doctors normally use the
exchange 793, not 427. His doctor's secretary also called from a 427 number. When I asked her why this was not the usual number,
she said that they like to disguise their number for privacy reasons! Maybe that means so that other family members will not know
that your doctor called?  Well such a practice creates a real problem now for those of us who refuse to answer an unknown number!
Maybe when you call them, you have to use the 793 number.

just because it was legit for you, doesn't mean that scammers don't spoof numbers
