Mary Kay scam: I am a Mary Kay consultant and I received a text from a man claiming to be Frank Johnson who was interested in a large Mary Kay order for his daughter’s wedding. He sent a cashiers check and then claimed to have written it out for both th order amount for me and the payment for his wedding planner. He then politely demanded that the remainder of the money be sent to the wedding planner via Zelle. Since I was unable to make a transfer that large, I ended up sending it via money order. The check was returned 10 days later and I lost over $1,600.00.
