Called and left message that this is final attempt before case is filed with my county, and I should call today , and "good luck".  No name, no company name mentioned.

Got the same message. There are different robo-calls that come from this number. No name of the organization is given and it still is that this is the last call to "get the case resolved," as "your name and Social Security number are being filed in your county at 12:00 noon, today." It is a full-fledged scam. It is important not to call them back. I've filed a complaint earlier with the FTC about it and will continue, again, after the latest one.

Got a call from this number stating a case would be filed against me in my county, No name, Company claim to be Office of Financial Affairs.. They say I signed for a loan which never did and now saying I defaulted on the loan. Sounded like a scam to me. wanting me to make payments I told the person I will handle this trough the courts.

Left the same message they've left all of you. I called back and supposedly got my number removed from their call list, and the guy said something about check fraud that I apparently committed. He did have my name and number available, but that was more likely from caller id than anything.

Hope someone shuts them down soon. I wonder how places like that even get our information.

These people have called a friend of mine about 15 times today and refuse to tell them who they even are. My advice, put your cell phone with caller ID blocked and call them back and waste their time. Prank call them to death. File all appropriate complaints and all; but this is a fun and somewhat gratifying way to burn a few minutes of down time. Will you profit from it? No... But you can have a little fun at their expense.

This company left no info just a threat of prosecution, phone number, and a "good luck" closing remark. This should be classified as domestic terrorism!

I think I've had every variation of the 402-875-XXXX numbers.  When you block one number, they call you with a different caller ID and leave the same message that they are filing with "your county".  If they were filing with my county wouldn't you think they'd say what my county is in the message?

The m.o. is the same as the scam calls coming from India, but it looks as though too many people caught on to the Indian accents, so now they're recording someone American to give the exact same message and use it to make robocalls, seeing if someone panics and gives in to this scam. I still don't thing they're operating fully in the U.S., because it would enable law enforcement to arrest and prosecute. The FTC has also warned that these numbers are probably being used for the scammers to piggy-back off of it to make it harder to catch the actual culprits.

One other scam to watch out for is someone may call saying there is a bench warrant out for failure to  serve jury duty, but bond can be posted by purchasing one of the cash cards from a place like Walgreen's, rather than through a bail bonds agent. This is similar to the more recent scams of people calling saying they're from the IRS, which is also not true, as anything involving a serious legal matter would be handled, first, by letter, either through the mail or by messenger/courier.

Always listen to the content of the message. It's easy to spot the discrepancies and they become immediate red flags.

Then i called again and answered and immediately hung up. Then called again and got voice mail of course no company name just a generic message and i left a message that i have filed a complaint with the fcc and said a few other choice words and hung up

They have called me every morning for the last 4 days with some variation of the 402-875-##  so far 402-875-6093 and 402-875-6094.  Same message on voicemail as everyone above.  I did call them back and talked to a woman (a VERY rude woman) the first day to get more information.. she wouldn't tell me the name of the original creditor or when the "loan" was originally taken out only that it was charged off on 9/2/2013.  She said that that information was in the evidence package that would be presented against me in court.  Unfortunately she doesn't know anything about the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  I have file a complaint with the CFPB as well as the FTC.  I know that I doesn't do any good as they change their numbers, but what worried me is that she had my name, my last mailing address, my email, my phone number and my full SSN.  She said she also had my DOB but wouldn't not give it to me.  She did tell me my full SSN which worries me how she has this information.  I know that I don't have any debts that I have defaulted on, so not worried about it being true, but worried that she had my SSN.  I put fraud alerts on my credit report with all 3 credit bureaus.  Another number associated with this is 614-407-0852 as that is a number I was given for my attorney to call.
