Same here called my cell number and did not leave a message

Virginia Pilot calling trying to sell me a subscription for an area that I do not live. They will tell you that you are within the delivering area but you will never receive a paper.

I've gotten a call from this number twice. Each time they have called I have answered and they say nothing and then hang up.

Calling several times a day, every day. Answer the phone but no ones on the other end. Very irritating.

Called me this afternoon but I missed the call.  The callerid display said "SSI".  I called back and the announcement said that they are an independent survey research organisation.  They did not say who they are conducting the survey for.  I terminated the call without speakingbto anybody in real time.

Got a call from this number, said national survey database, no company name, didnt say what the survey was for and started asking personal info, date of birth, people in household, ages of people in home, i stopped at my birthday and hung up before i gave any info, identity theft, don't answer

Just received a call from this number.  Didn't answer my telephone and they didn't leave a VM.

Claimed to be doing a survey for Fulton County, GA.

Called today, I didn't recognize the number so didn't answer. No VM left

I got the call from this number and had no answer on my question  'Who are you?" I terminated the call.

I saw a link to SSI above to opt out of their calling lists. I sent them a simple email request to stop calling me at the specified number.  I hope it works.

I'm guessing that it is a political call, as it is political season again in GA 6th CD.

THIRD number from this supposed marketing research company. Only the first one they used actually proved to be a true number, the other two spoofed. This is why I call them "supposed," since a legitimate company would not be using spoofed numbers.

Legitimate survey company. No harm in participation which takes less than 3 min.

This number appeared as SSI on my home land line caller ID. I have seen it before but never answered. Today I did. They were supposedly conducting a political survey. Something seemed fishy about this call and I terminated it after they asked for my birthday. I told her to take my name off their calling list. Caller had very clear English.

SSI is Survey Sampling International, NOT related to Social Security. They offer an opt out request here.
