A woman called and asked for me by name and asked me to donate money to some breast cancer fund (nonspecific). I asked her how she got my number, and she said that her organization purchased my number from another source.  As I am registered on the Do Not Call list, this is completely illegal and I let her know that. I told her I do not accept solicitation phone calls and to immediately remove me from her list.

Charities are exempt from the DNC registry.

Got a call but no message left

Called on May 3, 2017 at 12:45pm.  As soon as I answered the phone the call was cut.  Block this number, don't answer it!

Answered the call.  Breast Cancer survivor support fund type request.  Told her to send me the packet and that I would greatly consider it.  Instead of taking my info, she kept asking me if I could pledge my support.  I repeatedly told her I would try to, and that the minimum amount would be doable, and to please just go ahead and send me the packet for consideration.  After several attempts to get me to answer "yes", I finally said, "look, I'm interested in your charity.  Please send me the packet."  When she repeated herself one more time, I said, "Are you aware of scam where people try to get you to say a certain word, and they take that recording and use it against you?  That's reason I am not saying that word, but I am trying to be as affirmative as possible. Please send me the packet."  She promptly ended the call.

I assume this reveals that the caller was just a scammer.  Charities tend to play nicely when you say that you'd like to receive their information.

It's a scam using breast cancer as their introduction.  It's been going on for some time.

Woman tried to scam me on Mother's Day. Block this number.

Caller ID said it was an Atlanta, GA number. I answered when they called and no one was there. I called them back and it said no one can take my call press number for other options. Then it said it was for donations. Took myself off their call list and added them to my blocked calls list.

Called me today in Atlanta. Didn't leave a message

Scam trying to get you to pledge money to a Breast Cancer charity over the phone. Blocked. Asked for my ex husband first  but said I would do lol

Called and said nothing.  I hung up the call.

Got a call, went to voicemail, no message left.....

Called my cell - blocked them.
