I have received several calls from this company even though I am on the national "No Call" list and have pressed Option 2 to be taken off their list.  Today, I pressed "1" and when the nice young lady answered I pleasantly asked for the supervisor and she promptly informed me "OK, his name is 'Dial Tone'! and hung up.  I have been in sales for a long time, and this makes the sales profession look bad.  There are a lot of complaints on multiple fronts about this company.  What can I do to put a stop to this company?

You know, this green team is just another disquise for another number they have been calling from.  If your listening out there "GREEN TEAM" your a bunch of jerks who have nothing better to do than "HARRASS" good people.  I've been called by your so call "GREEN TEAM" for the last 3 to 4 days in a row.  Remember, what comes round will go round.  Soon enough.

They've been calling me for a while but until tonight I've never actually gotten someone on the phone.

It said to press one for my car's warranty status.

The operator mumbled something and asked about my car's make and model...when I asked the name of the organization again, they immediately hung up on me.

This number has called for the last couple of weeks they have never left until tonight. the message had the womans name and a call back number and said that i had recently ordered something from a catalog and that there was a billing issue. She did not say which catalog it was though and i just ordered something two days ago. the first call was on Oct. 5. These people need to leave people who have lives alone. General Info: Found out that if u press any buttons they can hack your phone and use it for collect calls so be careful.

I have gotten several calls from the 'green team' number.I am on the "do not call" list . These calls should be stopped: I also get post cards for warranty coverage which is not a good thing.

Dear Mr. McKenna:

I am writing you as a recourse to stop solicitation telephone calls from Great Atlantic Warranty, Inc., 6413 Congress Avenue, Suite 250, Boca Raton, FL, who sell extended warranties on vehicles.  

I receive no less than ten telephone calls per week to my home from this company.  My caller ID identifies the number as (404) 549-4446.  I have on multiple times selected the automated option to have my numbers removed from their lists, however, the calls persist.  Today, I pressed the option to speak with a representative and the call was taken by Aaron (no last name given).  I explained the automated system had not worked in getting my number removed and I would like an address to send a written request, his response was “Have a nice day!” and hung up.

I next found the company on the Internet and telephoned them direct (888) 898-8778.  This effort in two attempts proved futile.  The first call, I asked to be transferred to the person who handles legal matters and the operator told me – that was himself – I asked for clarification and he said hold on and the next sound I heard was the automated message from the telephone company telling me to hang up and redial.  

My next call, to the same number was just as futile and more frustrating.  Upon answer, I asked for the operator’s first name and was told they are not allowed to give that information.  I then asked to be transferred to the legal department and told him, if I am hung up on, I will be contacting the Washington State Attorney General’s Office – His mocking response was “What is the year, make and model of his car?” and then I was again disconnected.

Being in sales, and I, myself make cold calls to prospective clients, primarily businesses, feel that telephone solicitation has a benefit to the consumer, businesses and the overall economy, however, I do feel strongly, when asked to be removed from a calling list, the request MUST be honored.


I am sure I am not alone in the number of calls I receive from Great Atlantic Warranty, and they are now at the point of harassment.  Any action you can take to prevent further calls is greatly appreciated.

I get the same calls DAILY. What a crock.

Green team *SELL YA SOME CAR WARRANTY* crap.

Never any voicemail or answermachine message from them. I have Voicemail when I do not want to have the answering machine go on and interupt me. but either way I never get a message

If you purchased a new vehicle recently, the dealership sells your info.  That is how I ended up on their call list.

Here's their information. Great Atlantic Warranty, they're out of Florida. Their phone number is 1-888-290-9711. The manager I s/w was named Danny & he was a complete tool shed. When you call, use extensions 230-240, you should get someone. Ask for Danny & say that you got his number from a fetish website (make up your own, be creative). Repeat a few times a day. Once you get tired of that, report them to your state Attorney General.

The calls are from consumerdirectwarranty.com, owned by Essex Insurance. I get calls from this company every day to buy a warranty for my car. I've asked to be taken off the list but I just get hung up on and they keep calling... Today I played along and pretended to be interested. Supposedly Gay Preston (the manager I talked to today) from Boca Raton, FL can be contacted at 888-858-8448 x2587 (customer service)

Very irritating!!!. My caller ID is full with this number and others like it. Last night they called at 9pm.

Just got yet another call on my unlisted number from this group!  I am also on the DNC list and yet my phone is still ringing with these idiots on the other end.  "2" does nothing to stop them so don't bother.  I'm reporting them to the FTC next but I don't hold out much hope of any resolution coming.

Now they are calling as Brooks Partners  408-587-2139  
From all the numbers and all three names above, it is the same woman's recorded voice very happy to get you on the phone because they have been calling and calling about your car warranty expiration and wanting to sell you more.  Hang Up as it does no good to press any other entries.  No one will help.  You would think the FCC could find out who is paying the bills on the phone lines and shut them down.  Perhpas deport them is a good idea.
