404-800-7148

Just got a call from : 404-800-7148. They left a voice mail stating they were affiliated with Home Depot. I called Home Depot's corporate number and they told me this number is not associated with Home Depot. I was informed this is a phishing/scam operation.

Got call as I was sitting in Home Depot.

I have read the posts here regarding this number. The number 404-800-7148   IS   associated with Home Depot.  It is NOT a phishing or scam telephone number.  The number is associated with Home Depot as an INFORMATION  and  DELIVERY  number.  It is a number to find out about your order status with the store, and to confirm with you a delivery date, if you are not picking your item up at the Home Depot Store.  It is a legit number. When you call this number it will tell you to call the Home Depot , OR Log on to homedepot myaccount for your latest order status.  Normally this message is received within a few minutes of putting your order in, OR received when your order is ready for pick up at the store.  I just got another call this morning.  Yes, its a 404 prefix phone number which is out of Georgia.  Somehow it is connected to Home Depot as a main number for order status.  Glad I could clear things up for you.  Have a wonderful day.  Caroline

Post Script..........I made one error in my explanation above. :(    I said that the number is for confirmation of a delivery date if you are NOT picking up an item you ordered at Home Depot, but it is a confirmation of your order period, whether you are picking your order up, or delivering, either one.  :) :)

I don't know who it is but they call my office repeatedly and do not say a word.  They just called again and when I hung up they immediately called right back.  They did not say anything again.  This has been going on for months now.  You would think if it was Home Depot they would have the decency to tell you why they are calling.

I do not have anything on order with the home depot. Both my wife and I received a call from this number today. Although I did go to Home Depot just before we received the calls. No orders though...interesting.

Home Depot automated message confirmation for an in store order with home depot. Its not a scam.

I have received several calls from 404-800-7148 Georgia shortly after having a repair done at Home Depot. They are all recorded messages that reference my ticket number. I called Home Depot to stop the calls and was told the number is not affiliated with Home Depot, that it is a scam and I should have the number blocked which I did. So, how does the caller know my ticket number???? Home Depot refused to admit they have been hacked or that they are investigating, just that my comments would be passed on. The recorded message references a web site for more details. Not ignorant enough to do that when all my business was handled within the store and no emailed receipts.

They called today, March 24, 2016.  We have no connection with Home Depot, no credit card with them, no orders ever placed.

Same as Kevin. No pending orders or credit cards just a random call. Def a scam or a hacked server.

It is Home Depot and it is very annoying. Put a lawn mower in for repairs a little before 6:00 on Saturday. The calls started at 6:02 and have continued.  Constantly calling and the number does not take incoming calls.  It really seems to be harassing in my opinion. Says to call the store. Did that, the item not ready. Went to the store after two days, not ready. Still the barrage of calls. Today, I have called the store three times and the customer service number at the main office. They told me I had to opt out and they could do that for me but it may take up to 72 hours for the calls to stop.  I can't wait to pick up the equipment and hope the calls stop.  Then I was asked for an alternate number for them to call me back about stopping the calls. I will not give them an alternate number, or any number in the future.  They will never get my real number again.

It's ridiculous!  If I put something in at Home Depot, I do not need a phone call confirming I put something in at home depot.  Futhermore, I do not need 8 phone calls in one day telling me to call the store.  I am an adult if I am patronizing Home Depot then  I know how to call and find out what I need to know without Home Depot harassing me all day long.

Not even about the equipment, we know it is going to take a while and knew that going in. Fine with that.  Still, don't want to be called every day, all day, until our stuff is ready next week.
