This number has called me twice saying I did a payday loan online, I don't do payday loans and if I did it wouldn't be online. I told them to get the IP address and that will tell them where it came from, what state. It's a SCAM though

Certainly a scam.  I did call the number however I called using a landline through a switchboard so it cannot be tracked nor is it ever answered.  I told them that I got a call from the number however before I conduct any business with them that I need some company information, wouldn't you know it, they immediately hung up.  A reputable company would not hesitate to give you company information to protect yourself.  Don't worry, don't give any information, and call them back in such a manner that they cannot trace you.

Same as everyone above. Definitely scammers, who pay to obtain our information from companies like spoke, truthfinder, checkpeople, Spyfly, Been verified, etc., to make these bogus phone calls. I have had my information removed from all these sites, yet it keeps getting put back on these sites, which is very frustrating and irritating that these companies do that and give our information out. Thinking about contacting an attorney to see what legal action can be done in regards to these companies giving my information out and removing, then putting my information back on there sites

This is the 21st Century and no one has any privacy at this point.  They do not need to pay money.  All they need to do is search your name on the internet.  They will find all your social media sites, who you know, who you allegedly know, relatives, friends, neighbors, and even pictures of your home and car (Thanks a whole lot Google!).

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

Received a call on my job from a guy with Fiber Mediation 1-404-856-0999, claiming that owe on a PayDay Loan from 2012 and threatening a civil suite against me. I told him that the law requires that he send me something in writing within 7 to 10 days of our phone call. He stated that a PDL debt collector do not have to comply to the FTC rules. He stated that his client was Global Group Holdings but wouldn’t give any more information. He stated that he will inform his client that I refused to comply and I will be served papers on my job and the hung up on me.

I filed a complaint with the FTC and will continue filling other complaints as well. Like the others listings I have no clue of what this a about but pretty sure it’s a scam.

Claiming to be a collection service and that we would be served papers at work or at our home. The name they were calling about, Lindsey Martin, is unknown to me and our last name isn’t even Martin. We have received multiple calls from this number. Always very ominous and advising us that we have officially been notified. If we do not reply by phone then we will be subject to legal action. Definitely not a legitimate call.

A call from "Fiber Mediation". Claims a civil suit has been filed. Funny thing that the robot voice speaking the name the message is for isn't mine. It's one of my relatives. Not sure how these scammers get phone numbers. Clearly shady.

Called me several time on my and left several messages stating that this was a serious manner and to  "Consider yourself notified!"  I called them back and they could not even tell me what the call or the debt was about.  It's a scam.  I reported them to the Federal Trade commission.

I just received a called from this number and they said I took out a loan in 2012. They also gave me my old email address that i haven't used since I was 16. Then they claimed I was making payments on it and I owed $800. I asked why they didn't send a letter and the woman said they sent several letters (Yeah, to the wrong address) When she told me the address I said I never lived there. She got mad and started yelling at me and hung up. I called back and asked for a manager but the guy hung up. I called again and the guy who picked up said he was the manager (yea right). He asked if that was my address I said no. I then proceed to ask why his agents had such bad customer service. He states they don't have to speak properly to customers. I advise that no ones going to go along with rude people. He then stated "well we will just tell them your not cooperating". I said ok and hung up. FAKE FAKE FAKE company

Three calls in past week to ten days. Told them the first time they had wrong name and phone. I don't do payday loans. This time told them to file suit and I'll bring an attorney and they can produce the paperwork. Then I'll be the one filing suit.
