Received a phone call on the main line for my work place. The line was quite when I answered then disconnected on me.

Same description as Pamela and Cynthia. My opinion is a form of data mining that they send out phone calls with an automated server. They log all the calls where the user (that's us folks) picks up the phone. Now the bad guys know that you are home at 9:20 AM. This illustrates an example.

This should be illegal. This makes people have more accidents in the home. This is intrusive. This causes the phone account user (that's us) very angry and ruins the mood. I have autism, so I am compelled to describe, in order to help everyone.

This 406-219-2036 is Life Insurance. American male sounding sales voice recording. The #2 and #3 that I clicked did not activate the "remove caller from list". The recording kept on and said. "press one if you are interested. Instead of going to real voice salesperson, it was an automated feature to put your name and age.

This should be illegal.

got a call 12/28 10:25am called the number back at1:40pm on 12/28 recording said number is no longer in service. INS comes up in caller I.D.

Received call 3/18/2011.  INS on caller I.D. I was not at home at the time and no message was left.

probably one of three calls in the last few days- INS on caller ID; no message and/or no answer when picked up- other calls follow on, and are most likely "spoofed caller ids' since you won't find that a call-back  code on your phone will work properly.  Creditors probing for "live answer"- at home time and logging same is my opinion. Use VM, and VOIP to keep some distance and if you've got a legit call it will pass the muster (IMHO). If you must know who called, use these internet resources before picking up, and call back with anonomizing code (*67) to remove your caller id info. Let the call remain on line even if it comes across as a wrong number, a number that is no longer in service, etc... you may be surprised at how much is spoofed by these robo callers ( record to date is about 15 minutes of repeated tones followed by voice messages of codes for "number no longer in service", until the call finally forces a hang-up- small satisfaction is that that line was tied up and removed from calling out for this time.)
